We try to do the Wicked Winedown at the Villains Lair when we are here! We were greeted by an enthusiastic person Scooter, who was helpful and friendly with plenty of energy! His personality set the tone for rest of the night for us! Our server Dave was polite, friendly and helpful as well! The food was delicious! Watching the fireworks always a good time. Can’t wait to come back again. We have done this at least four times if not more hard to remember. As long as DVC hosts it we will enjoy it! Thanks for another good night! Included some pictures of our food and drinks!
Great view. Limited access starting at 6:00 PM. I found out that you can’t access the 16th floor until after 6 when the light in the elevator goes from red to green. It wasn’t busy at 6 for regular drinks and food. The Tomatoes of Terror Flatbread was just average and soggy in the middle so as for a crusty flatbread. However, you need reservations ( made through the DVC 800 number) for the $55 per person including kids fixed price event which includes a drink, an appetizer and a slice of cake during the time people go their to be able to view the fireworks at 9:00 PM. I am assuming the fixed price is to keep people from just ordering an appetizer and keeping the seats for hours to watch the fireworks.
Amazing views and delicious drinks. We loved the cake. Though the flatbread and sliders weren’t impressive they were good. Nice atmosphere and extra touches throughout.
Our 3rd time here, views and service are amazing, highly recommend
Great spot atop the DVC Contemporary Tower. Serving good drinks with some nice bites and a great view of Magic Kingdom
Really poor service. After agreeing to sit outside to leave the inside tables for the people eating I walked up to the bar to order a drink after being ignored for 15 plus minutes as I was stood at the bar a gent come up and said that I will be served in a moment after waiting over 10mins to be served I finally got served a 17$ cocktail in a plastic glass after asking for a proper glass was told no as I’m sat outside but served me a beer in a glass bottle make that make sense!!
Good luck using this DVC "perk." Plenty of open tables and numerous seats available but the staff won't let you inside. Excuse was they are *short staffed." I'm guessing Disney is trying to force you to buy the over priced fireworks packages. Don't bother. Go to the California Grill and sit at the bar, similar view without the hassle. Or skip both and head to Tambu or Enchanted Rose. This is a waste of time.

Waited a hour till we gave up. We came in as fireworks were starting at 9:20ish, so we understood a little bit of a wait but 30 minutes after fireworks were done there were empty tables and continued to wait for another 30 minutes looking at empty tables. We told the hostess we just wanted drink and didn’t know till we were leaving that the bar was first come. Very poorly managed and very unfortunate because the location is amazing and the menu looked fun.

We came up to check it out as we have not been here before. Beginning of July and on a Saturday night. Also our first time a Bay Lake - our home resort is OKW) We opted for drinks to go, as we had dinner reservations already. I got the Cursed Pirate. It was extremely sweet, but good. I decided to get mine on the rocks vs martini style. It helped keep it cool and cut a bit of the sweetness down. Would definitely get it again. The views were awesome! The back overlooks the courtyard and pool, as well as Bay Lake and you can see Discovery Island. The front had a great view of the park, as well as some of the resorts around the lagoon. I bet the fireworks are great up there. They had an outside bar that never had a long wait, also nice the bartender remembered our drink order as we came and got drinks to go after dinner. Service was top notch! The kids were too short to look over the ledge outside, but I would consider this place as an adult environment.
Seating is very limited, definitely get a reservation. The bar is first come first serve, but you can be added to the wait list for those as well.
The vibe was lacking. The Villians Lair consisted of some villain pictures and the resemblance of a slide show on the TV.
Would love to come back here for food, drinks and *no* kids?

Just so you know, if you call to reserve at 60 days for a Friday and they tell you there are no events that night and to show up whenever, understand that their system is broken. Most Fridays have a ticketed event and they will not do anything for you.

We were having a lovely dinner, our waitress was great! We got there early to make sure we secured a table before the fireworks and wanted to order another drink and food before the fireworks started. As I tried to order, we were then told by the manager that the table was needed and had to leave by 8PM (it was 7:55PM at this point) and that our drinks/food wouldn’t be ready in time so we were not allowed to order more. I would completely understand this but the two tables next to us that were there BEFORE us were not getting kicked out. This completely changed the mood of our night, ruined everyone’s mood. This is ridiculous for the amount of money and the amount of effort we put in to secure a good spot. I do understand if the table was “reserved” but to be kicked out for their mistake? They could have at least moved us to a different table or offered us some sort of compensation. Just ridiculous.
We visited the Villains Lair a few nights ago. Others in my party had drinks and they said those were good, and we split the pretzel among us which was also good! Our server was fantastic. I was disappointed in the “Villains Lair” design, specifically with the television with cords hanging down the bottom. The tv just had different Villians on a slideshow. This just seemed a bit cheap. The other wall has villain art and they should’ve kept that throughout to match the theme.
