Great restaurant, AUTHENTIC haitian food. Owner is so sweet & she cooks so well. Honest I love the way she captured home. Food is perfectly seasoned & pikliz are perfecccctttt !

What a fabulous little Caribbean spot in Lake City, FL! WHO KNEW? If you're looking for a taste of 100% Authentic Caribbean food this is the place! I was so glad I went in! It was like a taste of mums cooking! I am Trinidad Caribbean/English & this is the food I grew up with in England!If you've vacationed to Jamaica, Trinidad, the Bahamas or anywhere else in the Caribbean Islands & had the food & want it in Lake City... then visit this place! Delicious! & Clauta is as nice as as can be!Parking: Small parking area.

This was my first time at Clauta's Caribbean Restaurant. I ordered the oxtail platter with two size. I had the red beans and rice and the collard greens. The owner also provided samples of the dish as well as some of the other proteins. One taste and you will be hooked! Delicious favoring of the gravy. The rice was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I also ordered the red velvet cake which was just okay could use more icing. Overall, this small Caribbean restaurant was very clean and the customer services was very hospitable. I will definitely go back for those oxtails and gravy delicious.

The best Caribbean food I've had since moving from Miami. I had the whole fried red snapper, black rice with peas, mac and cheese. I got my father the oxtails with cabbage and white and black rice with peas. After tasting everything I had to try the Curry goat and I wasn't disappointed in any of it. You can literally taste the love that Clauta puts in her food. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean food this is the spot.

This cafeteria style restaurant had "hot and ready" authentic Haitian food. The taste was excellent and I knew this was the truth when I bit into the JIROF in the epis! Clauta was very friendly and we were like 2 friends catching up -and this was my first time visiting. She had Oxtail, Legume, Curry Chicken, Griot, Stewed Pork, White Rice, Brown Rice, Cabbage, Plantains (sweet and green) and Haitian Mac and Cheese all ready to go and I like that you pick and choose your main and sides how YOU like it. AND YES THERE WAS PLENTY OF SAUCE AVAILABLE! My wait was less than 10 minutes (only because I was on the phone getting my friend's order) and she also had a great variety of drinks to complement the food.I had Oxtail with brown rice/ sweet plantains and also the Legume with white rice/ cabbage. I brought the food home, both containers are empty, and there NO leftovers! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and will visit again when driving through Lake City. Haitian food is a labor of love and Clauta's Caribbean Shack will make you love Haitian food even more.
