Nice little local dive. A very interesting conversion from a gas station or auto shop into a donut shop. The donuts were fresh and the value was good. There is a kids play corner with books and toys also.

The service was fabulous as always, and the regular donuts were as delicious as expected! I’m a big fan.I really wanted to post this privately because I really like this place and I suspect there are new employees in training.I don’t live in the area so am present once a year… but had opportunity to be in the area and took a companion with me. Every thing was great as usual except the “ filled donuts “.They weren’t “filled”, they were “injected “. And, I was told, the crème filling “would have been better if Jello pudding had been used” because it “clearly came out of an industrial can”.I’ll be back, but really thought you guys might need to know this.

The donuts here are great, I cannot always get there early and my only complaint is that all the cake donuts are always gone.
Idk who has been doing the cream in the Bavarian cream donuts, but they've been quite stingy with it lately, barely even noticeable! Whereas the white cream donuts have been overstuffed. That kind of inconsistencies is almost comical, except I paid good money for it and expect them to all be filled with a reasonable amount, not one overflowing while others are practically empty.Also, the chocolate icing has been having a chemical-like flavor, similar to fingernail polish remover.

I was put off from patronizing this establishment some years ago because of an incredibly rude and disconnected man behind the counter (middle-aged, disgruntled demeanor), but decided to try lately to give them another chance since I heard a rumor about a change of management (or maybe attitude adjustment?) Now, this visit was pleasant. A website with a menu of flavor choices would go a long way, but then again, they're only selling donuts. That being said, their donuts are pillowy soft and delicious. They're definitely a long distance away from Krispy Kreme, but are the best (and only) selection in Lake City if you want fresh donuts.
