Gator's Dockside Lake City

We eat here when we are in Lake City, so we are repeat customers. We usually visit in the mid afternoon or early eventing when it is not crowded. The food is acceptable and average. The service is always great. The beverage selection is limited but there are always at least a couple great selections.

We had lunch here today on a whim driving from Jacksonville to Tallahassee and had a wonderful experience thanks to our amazing waitress Angie. She was friendly and helpful from the moment we sat down. The menu had great options and all four of our meals were delicious. The street corn hot dog, gator smashburger, Santa Fe chicken salad & chicken tenders. I wouldn’t be surprised if our group requests to stop here for lunch on our way back to the airport.

We had lunch today, and we noticed the bartender being a little rude to others, the servers were standing around talking, host was not at the front. With that said, our server was awesome (Lauren B) she was seating people, taking orders, and cleaning tables. I just hope management knows what a great worker they have in her. Not sure who or where the manager was but they need to do a better job.

Terrible service today, not even busy! Will never return.

Lauren was our waitress and was very friendly and professional. We had an issue with the rack of ribs, which were extremely tough (they did NOT fall off the bone), and those were removed from our bill. The patio is definitely dog friendly which we appreciated.

Been to several of this chain’s locations. This went wrong from the beginning. First, our server sat down at our table to take our order; a little too familiar? Then brought our meals on top of our appetizers. Third, we had asked for wing sauce on the side. It wasn’t. Quickly brought out the “boneless wing” order with 8, not the 10 ordered. These boneless wings were really tiny chicken nuggets. She didn’t wait long enough to make sure the order was correct. She went over to and spent the rest of our meal sitting at another table chit chatting with someone she obviously knew. Another lady with a little girl. Where the heck is the management in this place? Kayla B. was an epic fail.

Fun place with horrible food and drinks. Very small fry wings and the worst margarita I’ve ever had.

Their fried pickles were perfect
The bread on the Philly was amazing along with the sautéed onions and green peppers, they weren’t over cooked
Husband got a smash burger and said that the flavor was really good

We specifically went to this restaurant because our hotel Hampton Inn said it was pet friendly...we have a 6 lb chihuahua and halfway through our meal the manager asked us to leave because pets not allowed. Even our waitress was amazed

LOVE the food and atmosphere! But my ToGo order wasn't right. The MahiMahi sandwich was bare (just meat and bread) no Tarter Sauce in the box. Since I'm 12+ miles away, it's just not worth a return trip. The littles things make a meal...this one was not as good as it could've been. Please pay attention to details!

Waitress acted like she didn't want to be their. She complained loudly to her co workers everytime a table was seated.

We ordered cobb salads, and the chicken was not freshly grilled. It had no bacon and no blue cheese crumbles.

It was only 8p.m. and Monday night football had just started, and this place was acting like it was time to close.
