Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

I don’t normally post reviews, but we were SO impressed with this location. Our toddler has a severe dairy allergy and Olive Garden is one of our “safe” restaurants. As we were traveling, we decided to stop. The manager came out to confirm his allergy and to let me know that they would be extra cautious. The manager also brought his plate out separately while the server followed with the remaining food. Food and service was excellent. Best Olive Garden I’ve been to!

Vanecia (I hope I spelled her name right) was amazing. She was really sweet, relatable and made our night very pleasant. We were very pleased to meet her. We arrived towards the end of the night but she didn’t make us feel like it. If you read this, thank you and I pray that you continue to keep your same spirit and energy. You are appreciated.

It’s Olive Garden. It’s fine. But I had forgotten it’s so expensive and the food really isn’t so great.

My son had never been, and he was delighted with his breadsticks and Alfredo sauce, as were we all. The berry sangria was easy to drink but not particularly fresh tasting of course. My husband got the salad and enjoyed it, and I had my zuppa toscana. Yum. Could have stopped there and just enjoyed some tiramisu and saved myself a lot of money.

The entrees were, as usual, the letdown. Sauces are bland and all the pasta is seriously overcooked no matter what you order unfortunately. You can do better at home with a doctored up jar of sauce and some properly cooked dried pasta. We tried three different items. The chicken Alfredo for my son—he did not think the chicken was good so this was a bust. The chicken tortellini for my husband, which was the best of the options but not great. The meat sauce manicotti for me, which was not good. The sauce had an unpleasant aftertaste.

The kids’ meal is affordable which was great, and my daughter was riveted by the tablet provided. I enjoyed paying by tablet for convenience. Our server was attentive and absolutely lovely. But I miss the days of white tablecloths and feeling like it was a bit more of a treat and less like an Italian Chili’s.

We stopped at this location while heading home to another town. We were sitting for several minutes, waiting for our server. Hayden was walking by, looked at us, and asked if anyone had helped us yet. We said no. He apologized and took our drink/appetizer order. When he brought our drinks, he said he was going to go ahead and take care of us. And boy, did he! He had all his other tables to tend to, but checked on us constantly to make sure we were doing good. Extremely friendly and professional! The atmosphere was wonderful, the manager even came by to ask if everything was good enough. We'll definitely be back!

We consistently receive excellent service and delicious food at Olive Garden. Their all-you-can-eat breadsticks and salad are a particular highlight.

The manager sat us and told us all about their appetizers and took our drink order, she was awesome. She tried handing us over to one of the girls but the girl didn’t bother introducing herself. She brought my boyfriends sweet tea and the appetizer and I asked her politely if my Modelo was coming that I ordered when he ordered his tea and appetizer and she rudely said “it’s at the bar”. I’ve worked in customer service my whole life so I can’t deal with that shit and that’s why I don’t go to restaurants in Lake City because of servers that have no work ethic and let’s someone’s drink just sit at the bar. The manger was great and got us Abby who was super helpful and on point but I was about to get up and leave after the attitude I got from asking where my beer was when we already had food on the table.

The service was pretty good. Was not impressed with the food so much. I got the shrimp scampi, and i think there was maybe 6 little shrimp in all that pasta. I could hardly even taste the garlic in it. Not sure maybe I'll go back and give something else a try. Will update review if I do.
