Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings

Took my family for lunch for the first time after the remodel and the food was absolutely disgusting! Two of our chicken sandwiches went in the trash! The chicken felt slimy and rubbery and had a weird smell to it. Unfortunately me and my daughter weren’t able to even eat. Will never go back to this place.

The wait time in drive through is absolutely awful! I have come by several times since they reopened, each time the drive through is wrapped around the building. Lane two never open. Wait time 30 min every time minimum. Fast food? Nope. Food is great, but its beginning to not be worth the wait.

The chicken fingers were pretty good. The seasoned fries were so over salted with season salt that we couldn't eat them. We were in the drive thru line for about 30 minutes.

We waited a couple weeks after the remodel because it’s been so busy, expecting things to smooth out—but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The drive-thru speaker experience was confusing, with the employee clearly talking to someone else while also trying to take our order, resulting in repeating ourselves multiple times.

The bigger issue was the food handling. Our wings were placed loose in the bag with sauce everywhere instead of properly packed in the to-go box. We had to pull over and repack everything in a random parking lot, which shouldn’t be necessary after a long wait. Completely unimpressed and disappointed

This store in Lake City Florida has just reopened from a remodel, and I stopped and ordered Zaxbys finger dinner plat, Zax big snack and veggie egg rolls..We got no sauce for the chicken or egg roll..The egg rolls were burnt ( picture below) very disappointed

After the stock response to my review of it being closed. I was asked how I could make it 5 stars. Easy, don’t have a billboard directing me to a closed storefront. I drove to the establishment. It was fenced off. Yet the billboard directed me to waste my time. It also shows me that Zaxby’s AI asked me to contact them not a live manager.

This was my first time visiting Zaxby’s, and unfortunately, the experience fell well below expectations. The restaurant felt run down and not very clean, especially the bathrooms which were uncomfortably dirty. The two staff members I interacted with seemed uninterested and gave the impression that customers were more of an inconvenience than anything else. On top of that, the food was disappointing. Both the chicken and the toast were overcooked. Based on this experience, I’ll be sticking with Raising Cane’s moving forward.
