The food is goodService is terribleIt’s always the same woman at the registerOne day we came to eat in and she said we had to order at the register, saying we wouldn’t be waited on , when I asked for water , she proceeded to serve me a cup of water straight from the sink , I don’t believe that water is filtered , so that’s just gross . very poor service that day . We had to order at the register and sit down and not ask for refills or forks , silverware etc or anything they may have missed when they actually brought out our order because there was no one following up after we ordered at the register and sat down . Today , I ordered take out and she rang me up , my takeout order wasn’t ready, but she never communicated to me that my order wasn’t ready . I walked in , told her I had a pick up order , gave her my name and she rang me up on the register , as soon as I I finish paying , she just walks away . I was very confused , awkwardly standing there , as she never confirmed if my order was ready or not . Or how long I should expect to wait on my order . She simply walked away after I paid and said nothing , I was just standing there without my food order . I waited at least 10More minutes and a nice guy brought out my food. The cashier should be trained to communicate and not just awkwardly walk away with no explanation.

I’ve placed two to-go orders over the last few months. Both times my food had been wrong. This last time I was told a chef wasn't available to remake my food…so sad when the food is good but can’t seem to get it right.

My first time at this location, tucked away in the corner of a shopping strip I hadn't visited in years! Simple and pleasant decor, attentive service by Ashley L, and our party of 6 was quite happy with their food choices! I had the Tuna Tacos and the Shrimp Tom Kha Soup. The tacos were good but the soup was FABULOUS! The absolute best Tom Kha Soup I've had anywhere - from Maine to Oregon to Florida. I highly recommend it. Several of our party had the Chicken Tom Kha Soup and they were quite pleased as well. We brought our own dessert (it was a birthday party) and Ashley did not blink an eye - the plates and forks and napkins appeared instantly! This will definitely be in our rotation for our monthly group lunches.

I concur with the prior 1-2 star reviews. The service is HORRIBLE. I checked google before I left as the Bistro closer to me closes at 9pm. Google stated 10pm. I arrived at 8:50pm to see a sign stating they now close at 9pm. I walked in and a young black girl was at the counter. I apologized for coming in so close to closing as google shows they close at 10-and was interrupted by her and her nasty attitude-“Sushi is open until 10, we close at 9pm, and we are closed now.” I replied to her that it was 8:50 pm and I only wanted an Açaí bowl. She barked back, “I ain’t making nuttin. We done today. Closed”.How rude-how typical-I wont return to this location.

Extremely rude! Stood at the order here sign for at least five minutes while two girls at the counter were discussing a new wallet. They never acknowledged me or asked me to wait just looked at me like I didn't exist. I came in for a bowl of oatmeal this should've been a pretty easy task. Luckily the other Jo bistro on Belvedere Road is very nice and polite. It's not that far out of the way it's worth it to be around polite people who acknowledge you and actually take your order.

Food was good...but the noise level was so bad, that we almost walked out. Considering my husband has a 40% loss of hearing that's significant....We would have left, but it was pouring rain outside & we had already ordered our drinks & appetizers ...there is literally no sound barrier between the loud bar seating, where people were screaming feet away from the sit down restaurant area, where kids were screaming and walking around with no parental intervening ...one even had an iPad with Rudolph the red nose reindeer blaring~ no intervention by staff....I asked if they could turn down the loud music that was echoing, and the staff did....making my experience somewhat tolerable. I would not go back, unless they placed sound absorption panels up & placed a barrier between the bar & restaurant....even though their food was good.

Food is the delicious, and they have the best Açaí Bowls!! I’ve never had better Açaí then the one they have. It’s smooth, creamy, is never icey and the fruit is fresh. Their sushi is also very, very good! Overall highly recommend this restaurant, which is pretty underrated in my opinion.
