1916 is a hidden gem of Lakeland .. I don't know of any other golf course with a menu like this ... It's a must go... Their food is phenomenal and the service is great! Can't beat the prices either !

Unfortunately, our recent visit to 1916 was very disappointing. I had been here last year with my teammates and remembered a much better experience, so this was unexpected.

We had a party of six on a Sunday night—nothing too large or unmanageable. We made a reservation, but it turns out we didn’t even need one since the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. There were plenty of open tables, so it should have been a smooth evening.

I visited the 1916 located at the Cleveland heights golf and country club. Often the restaurant at such places is an afterthought. The choice to bring in 1916 was a great idea. Their normal menu has some really great items, including the fried fish sandwich, the Cuban, and the shrimp po boy. But the star of the show are the Irish nachos.
