I ordered a gyro with small Greek salad ($15) and a pork souvlaki sandwich ($10) made into a basket ($6) which is supposed to fries and coleslaw. The food tasted decently. But the portions were pretty small compared to cost. We also did not receive the coleslaw. Paid $40 with tip for two people's lunch. They also up charge for paying with a card.

I work nearby, and really had a craving for a gyro. The reviews looked promising so I decided to stop by. The staff were really friendly, the place is a little outdated..but appeared clean enough. The Gyro was hands down one of the best I’ve had, but the fries tasted freezer burnt and had absolutely no seasoning or salt whatsoever. I paid about 17-18$ for a gyro and hand full of fries/ can’t say it was worth it.

After looking at the menu and deciding to go somewhere else the waitress immediately got snappy and rude. On the menu it said drinks cost $3 which she then said it was $6 per drink.

While at a local pharmacy on Ariana Street, I asked the pharmacist to recommend a good place for lunch and he said the Athenian Restaurant, located across the street in the Central Park Plaza. The restaurant’s address is 1215 Ariana Street, in Lakeland and it can be found at the extreme east end of the strip mall. Open from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. This is a relatively small restaurant. I had the Gyro Sandwich which is gyros, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce, wrapped in a toasted pita. I added a side of fries and an unsweetened tea. It was delicious! My daughter had the Combination of Both with Toasted Pita. This consisted of toasted pita with bowls of Tzatziki and their home-made Humus. She said that it was delicious and that she would order it again! The wait staff was friendly and helpful, easily answering our questions about the menu. The Pharmacist described this place as a “hole-in-the-wall” and that it was his favorite. Athenian restaurant is a favorite of ours, too!

Clean restaurant, friendly employees great food served fast and at appropriate temperature. This was My first time eating here too. I had breakfast my friend had lunch . I always choose breakfast vs any other things usually unless I have a specific taste for something. Or a certain restaurant makes what I'm wanting and how I ordered it vs anywhere else.
