I have been eating at BD’s in Lakeland for over a year now since I moved to the area. Every time I have gone I enjoyed everyone there and the food. My daughter came from out of town and I decided to treat her out and went here at night. It was the worst thing I ever did!!!!. The customer service was horrible!!!! I was extremely shocked at the hostess behavior the evening of 9/10/24. At 8:47PM the hostess (I wont provide her name) stated they are not serving but the restaurant is not closed. I then asked are you closed or not? At that time I figured she did not want to serve anyone else that night but wanted to close and go home early while talking to me she continuously stayed on FaceTime with her boyfriend while folding silverware and spoke condescending on why she could not serve my guest and I. The hostess picked up her phone and turned the phone so her boyfriend could see who she was talking too. My guest and I were extremely shocked!!!!!!! Her actions told me this is not the first time she has done that or acted in this manner. She was very bold in her actions. At that time I asked if her boyfriend was coming to the restaurant to speak or become physical with my daughters and I. I was frightened I did not know what to expect at that point. I know now a days you have to be so careful. I asked to speak to a manger and waited for him to return back to the restaurant as I was told he was moving his car and not in the building at the time. I explained the situation he provided me a bowl and apologized. Conclusion: The service at night is horrible!!!. Very rude and unprofessional service. I spent $60 dollars that night and even tipped on top of the worst service I have had in Lakeland thus far. Something to sure tell family and friends about. Maybe crazy me but at the end of the day business is business. To BD’s please consider removing this young lady from your front end if not your guaranteed to lose business.
I’m am posting my experience at this time because I went online and submitted a survey on my service and never received a response. I’m just keeping my community informed.

Looks can be deceiving. Service was slow, but the staff were friendly. I ordered the Steak & Noodles and the meat was a very chewy and unappetizing. The restaurant also appear to be in renovations or trying to stop a leak

Absolutely horrible! I place my order online and ordered orange chicken with noodles to go. Never been to this particular location before but I have been to a different Mongolian Grill before, so I thought it should be ok. Wrong....when I arrived to pick up my order I was told to go by the front entrance and my order should be there. My order was sitting on a table out in the open near the front entrance. The bag wasn't even tied up or at least stapled. Anyone could have taken it as no proof of order was needed and seeing as how it was by the door with no attendant it could very well happen. Ok I excused that but then when I got to the car and tasted my food OMG. I immediately got a headache and to top it off the orange chicken was dry with no flavor at all. The noodles had absolutely no flavor whatsoever only scallions and sesame seeds tossed on them. Needless to say I had to throw this meal away and waste my money.
We used to "Mongo" back in Ohio all the time. It has been more than 6 years since the last time we were able to enjoy the experience.
Finding this location in Lakeland was absolutely awesome for us.
The selections were plentiful and fresh. Service and cook time were perfect.
It was good to sit with family and enjoy a big bowl of my favs and knock back a brew for a mid-day lunch.
If you've never done "Mongo", it's a different experience for "flat top stir fry". You can order off menu, or create your own from the ingredient bar, which I highly recommend.
Appetizers are decent and prices for this experience are more than fair for the times.
