Combee & Sons Custom Meat

I had my senior year steer from Polk County Youth Fair processed by these people. Little did I know they didnt prepare my hide or meat properly AT ALL. When you dont salt a hide right off of the calf it creates problems for tannery quality. We have a guy that has done hides for years and knows what we are doingg when prepping for tannery. When I went to get my hide after tanning it had slipped EVERYWHERE due to bacteria killing skin folicuals and had butcher cuts (HOLES) all in it. I would NEVER recommend this company for butcher services! How DISRESPECTFUL to someone that uses your services all the time!!

This place is wonderful

Paid $1000 for 1/4 steer. Awful tasting beef, the fat rendering tastes like dirty water. May be detrimental to health as well. Ruined multiple meals with family and friends. Tried multiple cuts and ground beef. All bad. Looking into getting it tested professionally as I still have 95% of it in my deep freezer.Shady owner not responding to my concerns seriously. No response back from owner. Reporting to health department and working with an attorney. Do not support this company.

As always they did an awesome job Through the decades they have been our go to butcher and the only place I even considered taking our steer to when we decided to get back into home grown beef. You can't beat a family owned buisness that has been a staple in Polk County for dressing out your beef. Thank y'all for everything

I own Lazy L Beef and have been using Combee for over a year now. Very happy with them is an understatement! They have been amazing with us. Don’t let the few bad reviews scare you away. Take it from someone who has been doing this over 30 years, not to mention, I also own a livestock transport business so I’ve been to a ton of the butcher’s in Florida….NONE of them are perfect.

I purchased 1/2 steer from Lazy L Beef and spoke to Hunter at Combee & Sons about the cut sheet and he gave me such great info on how to fill it out. They let me know once the beef was ready for pickup and were super friendly. They even gave us a special cut of beef to try that is normally not included with our purchase. Great service! Will use them again in the future!

I used Lazy beef to buy my cow and they use combee and sons. They texted me when the order was ready. I went out that week and picked it up. The guys were nice and helped load it in the car. And everything is amazing and packaged nicely. I’ll definitely be doing this process again!
