This place is now called The Wooden Spoon. I ate there today. My mistake. I had thought the place was still Dwayne's but they recently sold it to a new owner. I ordered the fried mushroom and the fried shrimp dinner with potato salad and coleslaw. The mushrooms were horribly breaded with something that came apart in my mouth and had the consistency of sandpaper grit and about as tasty. The shrimp were breaded the same way. I could not eat it. The potato salad and slaw were ok. The service was ok. The food was also expensive; for what I ordered the bill came out to over $20.00. It was NOT worth it. I will not be going there again.

They have gone out of business. The Wooden Spoon is there now. Only breakfast and lunch.

Heard good things about this place so me and my wife went here for lunch. Food was ok not great like we heard. Chicken was very greasy and seemed undercooked.

Staff is ALWAYS friendly and know how to give great service. Great food at a reasonable price.
Had dinner here after returning from out-of-town. The homestyle food is consistently delicious. We had dinner here before the quarantine was placed. Hoping all is well with them and their employees now.

My coworkers and I go to Dwaynes place quite often since they added the salad bar. They have really good homemade food and the soups are usually delicious. They give cornbread and rolls but most times we have been there, we have to request it. It gets pretty busy during lunch, but the servers in there do a pretty good job keeping up. I haven’t tried the deserts, but the pecan pie looks delicious. I do wish there was a little more diversity with the employment though.
