Fat Jack’s is a throwback type deli that’s been around a long time in a strip shopping center. However, the food is great and tremendous value and the staff has always been very friendly and responsive. I had a tuna melt, which was excellent one time and the next time a Cuban, which also was pressed and very good too ?

I’ve only been here for breakfast but my fiancé has taken me here several times because it’s been one of his fav spots since he was young (he grew up here). This place has been in business for a long time so you’re getting a true local treat by dining here. The food is good, southern style, and the prices blow every place in Lakeland out of the water. Beyond extremely reasonable - they have a breakfast special that’s less than $5 and the portion is hearty. Def worth skipping fast food joints and swinging in here instead. But what makes this place amazing though, and the reason why I gave them a 5 star rating, is the people - staff and even the customers. You won’t find a revolving staffing door here, nope, the staff working here have been here for many years and they’re super friendly, making you feel literally, at home. To top off the experience, the regulars are just as friendly and so it’s a full circle family dining experience here. I’ll admit, I’m not one to strike a convo with just anyone but every time I’ve been here, I end up associating with everyone around me - staff and customers alike and have a great time too, feeling at home and not awkward. So if you’re looking for reasonable, good food and a great environment, make sure you try this place out. You won’t regret it.

I do not leave reviews unless negative or positive unless they’ve made an impact on me. So here we go. The line for brunch want long so all. The waitress was friendly until while still at the table I changed something in my order, then she seemed agitated. I also wanted to know if we can substitute certain things and she said yes on all. However “BEWARE” she didn’t say I was being up charged for those changes. Two people for breakfast walked out with a 40.00 bill! Never again!
