The food was honestly cold and stale, we came in sat down and no one spoke to us the whole time, we got up got our own food got our drinks re filled ONCE. We payed for our food which was already gross so we didn’t finish so we were over charged rightfully so but when we didn’t leave a tip the woman who didn’t speak or help us once walked us down pointing at the tip laughing at us because we didn’t give her one. Any decent customer service deserves a nice tip, but that lady didn’t provide any sort of service. I recommend driving the extra miles for a better buffer beacuse this is a joke of one. 🤣🤣

My family and I had an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience during our recent visit. I feel it’s important to share this so other customers are aware and so corporate leadership understands the severity of the service issues occurring at this location.
From the moment we were seated, the hostess/server displayed behavior that was unprofessional, intrusive, and completely unacceptable. She repeatedly approached our table while we were eating, attempted to remove a plate I clearly stated I was still using, and hovered over us throughout the meal in a way that made my family feel watched and unwelcome.
Her conduct escalated when she touched my husband without permission, rubbed his arm, and called him “big money” while pressuring him to pay the bill. This was inappropriate, disrespectful, and made us feel targeted and discriminated against. Even after dropping off the check, she continued to stand nearby and watch us, creating an environment that felt more like harassment than hospitality.
When we tipped based on the service we received, she confronted us, held the receipt in our faces, and loudly questioned the tip amount in front of my child. She then walked away angrily and slammed the receipt down at her station while continuing to stare at us. This behavior was unprofessional, intimidating, and completely out of line for any dining establishment.
What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of empathy or awareness from this employee. She had no idea whether this was our first meal of the day or whether we might be experiencing financial hardship. Instead, she acted entitled to a larger tip despite providing poor service and making us deeply uncomfortable.
This experience ruined what should have been a simple family meal. No customer should feel harassed, disrespected, or discriminated against while dining out. I strongly urge corporate leadership to address this issue immediately, as this type of behavior reflects poorly on the entire brand. Until improvements are made, I cannot recommend this location to anyone. Take your business to a better and welcoming establishment

My husband and I stopped to eat here just after restaurant opened food was cold, have to say it was very clean but food should've been hotter, customer service is very poor, lady up front behind counter was on phone pointed to hostess to be seated, will not be back
I did it to myself again, wandering into another Chinese buffet because I just can't seem to resist them, but at least Hibachi Buffet in Lakeland made the choice feel worthwhile. The dining room was clean and well stocked when I arrived around 1:30pm, and I managed to keep my lunch mostly focused on proteins while still sampling a bit of everything. Several steam tables were full and turning over nicely, and the sushi display was better than I expected for a weekday afternoon. For nearly an hour I went back for small plates, each with a different mix, until I finally admitted it was time to move on.
My waitress was attentive throughout, clearing plates quickly and keeping my water filled without hovering. I even found their lone box of gloves so I could avoid directly touching the tongs, which felt like a small but meaningful win. All told, it was a solid, tidy buffet experience and a reminder of why these places keep pulling me back in.

Would not recommend eating here because of environment
The staff here are unprofessional and rude!
Wish I could give 0 stars, they demanded $2 tip when I tip them every week as I was a regular customer but I will never be returning the lady made a big dramatic scene I highly recommend picking elsewhere to eat.

Busy place keeps the food fresh. Staff is quick on refills and clearing used plates.
Expect a line during busy times.

The food was old.
And in the top it all off the waitress, stood at our table, the whole time watching us eat. Then, when it came to the bill, she started complaining about a 5 dollar tip and the prices are ridiculous.
