Il Forno Italian Restaurant and pizzeria

I went tonight with my husband and some friends. There was a hiccup with my and my husband’s meals and they came out well after everyone else’s. The manager (possibly the owner?) we didn’t say anything, the manager (?) was proactive and brought our meals, apologized, and made things right. I really appreciated him taking charge of the situation. Our group had been there before but it was my first time. Food and service were great. I would absolutely go back, actually I saw some dishes come out of the kitchen that I want to try now! My chicken Alfredo was delicious.

Whether it’s a random date night, birthday or anniversary we always choose Il Fornos to celebrate. Yesterday was one of my favorite experiences to say the least my daughters 3rd birthday was yesterday and due to my mothers passing recently we weren’t feel up to doing a party for her but instead decided to make a more intimate experience with the family. To say that the staff and people in the restaurant made her feel beyond special would be an understatement. I truly can’t recommend them enough for any and all occasions and we just truly thank the entire staff and owner for always being amazing.

Came in last night with some friends, restaurant was moderately busy two people in our party got their food promptly and said it was amazing, by the time they finished I still had not received my food, after asking multiple times, so I asked to get it to go. By the time I got home it was a cold mushy mess. Not even an offer to take half of my meal off the bill or anything. Also want to mention the bus boy came and took silverware and all the cups and appetizers off the table, before we even finished them. Will not return.

Great first visit at Il Forno! Food was delicious! We ordered Chicken Parm and it was perfection! For an appetizer, we ordered Mozzarella In Carroza and it was amazing. Lexi P was our server and she was fantastic! Very friendly, efficient, and attentive. Will be returning. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend i’l Forno Restaurant! The food is absolutely authentic Italian and delicious. The service and atmosphere is great and Mick, the owner is courteous, friendly and always takes time to converse with the customers. It’s the best Italian food restaurant in Polk county!!

This was our first time at IL Forno but it certainly will not be our last! Our server, Lexie, was great! Our food was incredible!! We had the antipasto trio app, my husband had a Caesar salad, and I had the fagioli soup to start. Those came with bread sticks. My husband had the ravioli with Italian sausage and I had the baked ziti with meatballs. Everything was so deliciously good. We ordered tiramisu to go. I brought most of my entrée home and look forward to enjoying it tomorrow.

The nostalgia of this place is misunderstood. I’ve been coming here since a child and place like this fueled my love for good cuisine and cooking. The simplest things such as a cheesy bread with marinara are like no other, truly one of a kind here. Everything is delicious and made with love ?

We came in with my 3 year old son who wanted French fries so bad he told the whole restaurant. They do not serve fries but as we were waiting for our delicious pizza one of the staff members went next door and bought my son French fries. I have never experienced such kindness for no reason. Definitely a wonderful place!

This place has been a favorite of ours for more than a decade. When my kids were little they’d come in wearing their soccer jerseys. The owner brought my youngest son a jersey from his country. We have never had a bad meal there. Everything has always tasted awesome. The portions are big. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! They also have gf options!

Dined in on a Sunday night, the place was packed but still the service was amazing along with the food being outstanding. The servers constantly checked on us and kept a clean table. The food was amazing some of the best chicken fettuccine Alfredo I have ever had. The atmosphere was great even with the all of the tables being filled the service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be coming back.
