I grew up on Cassano’s Pizza in Dayton, OH. We moved away when I was 14 and I’ve missed that delicious pizza ever since. Recently, someone mentioned that someone who had worked at Cassano’s had relocated to Lakeland, FL decades ago and opened J Burns Pizza Shop offering the same crispy thin crust pizza topped with provolone cheese. Our family made the drive from Kissimmee to Lakeland and are so glad we did! The pizza was incredible. Reminded me so much of the pizza back home in Dayton. We will be back often!

The food is excellent, the service is great, and they have Cheerwine soda on tap. If you are looking for a hot, fresh, and full of flavor pizza then J. Burns is the place to go. They offer take-out and dine in (which is becoming more rarer site to see).

Delicious, Crispy pizza. The only thing I didn’t love was how small the pieces of the sausage were. It’s more like sausage sprinkles. However, it was still awesome and we will be back. The place was nicely decorated and had a good ambience as well.

Usually the pizza is top notch. But decided to change it up and got a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and was highly disappointed, hardly had any mushrooms ,and at least 30% of the pieces had zero mushrooms, and the pieces that did had maybe one or two small pieces of mushrooms not enough to even taste, so when I acquired about it, was told to get extra mushrooms next time, I was in aww with that. Hopefully this was a one time thing, and definitely not wasting money on mushrooms as a topping again.
