Best pizza I’ve ever had

My family and I ate here last night (2/22/24) for the first time and we were quite pleased. They had a special going on for $15 large pizzas and $10 meatball sliders. We got both specials, as well as a kids pizza, a house salad, and lavash bread. The food was all really good. Our server, Racheal, was fantastic. She was super friendly, quick, held good conversation with us, and was able to promptly answer all of our questions as well as make appropriate suggestions when we asked. The only reason I'm dropping 1 star is because of the 3% "Service Charge" on my check. While it wasn't blatantly labeled as a credit card surcharge, that is what it was. That is always what it is. And frankly, it's federally illegal to surcharge a debit card under the Durbin Amendment of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.Additionally, if a business is going to surcharge a card (which again, illegal for debit cards, but not for credit cards) they are mandated to post clear signage upon entry of the establishment that a surcharge will be added to the bill if paying via card. I did not see such signage at KC's (although, to be fair, I may have missed it)I understand that running a small business is tough, I also understand that merchant processors charge the business to swipe both debit and credit cards. Typically that swipe percentage is aroun 2.5% + $0.10 transaction fee.My qualm is that is simply the cost of doing business in today's world. Restaurants in general seem to be the only business that regularly engages in this practice. I don't pay an extra 3% at the grocery store, convenience store, department store, or really any other store. In my view, the cost that the business incurs for processing debit and credit cards should be baked into the prices of the goods they sell, not passed off to the customer as an additional fee. If the business is not making enough margins on their menu prices, then raise the menu prices.I get nickel and dime'd enough on my other bills (Looking at you TECO)Will we eat here again? Yes, absolutely. The food was good and the service was great. But my point stands.

If you are not from Polk County, but have lived in Polk County for any amount of time, you know that it's pretty hard to find people that know how to cook. Let's be honest, the bar for high quality food around here is pretty low. This being said, when you find a place that does things better, a place that can compete with the food you've had in places that have a lot of people who know how to cook, it's a treat. The parking lot for the plaza is a bit wonky (recommend parking in the far rows near the highway), but it's worth it. If you're expecting piles of greasy garbage pizza, go somewhere else. If you want to eat something that looks beautiful, tastes even better, and doesn't make you feel like you need to order alka-seltzer with your meal, order the butternut squash pizza. Also, I have a daughter with autism who will eat precisely three foods. She came back for seconds of the plain cheese pie. Had a talk with the owner; super humble. The guy knows what he's doing. Hard recommend.Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten intolerance. The gluten free crust was crisp and perfectly done.

We finally remembered about this restaurant and stopped in here on Friday late afternoon. I am so glad we did! It was a very pleasant atmosphere, and our server, Hayley, was so nice and helpful being our first time there. We tried the eggplant Melanzana and a pepperoni and marscapone pizza. OMG! They were awesome! So much flavor! The sauce for the eggplant was like a really cheesy vodka sauce, and the pita to dip and eat with it was amazing...this is a great place to have a date night! They are going to have a new lunch set up soon that will include some Turkish menu items...oh, and almost forgot, Mrs. Claus took home some baklava! She shared it with the elves, and they are all asking for a trip back to get more! This place is SANTA approved!??ASK FOR HAYLEY!!

I arrived with my family 5 minutes before opening time and we entered and yet the waitress greeted us friendly. The antipasto entrance; And, the shrimp ones are delicious. We ordered 4 different pizzas, 3 medium and 1 children's, the M pizza is enough for 2.When in Lakeland it is definitely a place to visit.Vegetarian options: vegetarian pizza

I went their very late and they were closing. However, they were very gracious and offered to cook a pizza for me to take home. It was very quick and very delicious. I had a medium pizza with sausage, pepperoni, green pepper, and onion. It was excellent but the staff was even more amazing with their friendly attitude and welcoming ways. I moved to town today and have found my local pizza joint already.

We ordered a Caesar salad to share among 3 of us and pepperoni specialty and magic mushroom pizzas. Salad was very good. Pizza crust tremendous! Little too much garlic on the mushroom pizza. Overall one of the best pizza places in Lakeland. We will come again ?

My husband and I came here for the first time tonight. We ordered the melanzana appetizer & the magic mushroom pizza (unnnffff). Was soooo goood!! Especially the pizza. Even better than the food was the service. I wish I could remember our servers name. She was awesome and so were the other servers. They boxed our leftovers, had suggestions, and were super kind. Thank you!
