Outstanding Fried Chicken better than that hot stuff in Nashville

Tried Love Bird for the first time, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The food was delicious—the chicken was crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Everything was fresh, and it didn’t take long for my order to be ready, which was a nice surprise.

The only downside was parking, which was a little tricky to find. There was also a bit of a line, but honestly, that’s usually a sign of good food—and this place is worth it. The prices were reasonable, especially for the quality. I’ll definitely be back!

Parking: it’s kind of tight especially when it’s busy. You just gotta make it work.

I went on a Tuesday afternoon for carry out. There were only a few people there so service was fast. I however, received cold fries, oversalted chicken that was way, way too salty and though I ordered it medium spice, it was not flavorful. The mac and cheese was tasty( thus the 2 stars). My husband and I shared the meal and neither of us could handle that salt level and threw it out. So no, we do not love the bird and would rather try one of the famous chicken places that have consistent recipes.

Went to try at Lakeland location for first time couple days ago. I do like that there are menues to look at and share while in line. Took about 35 minutes to wait in line, order and pick up.The music volume was so loud combined with the loud talking of customers in line behind me talking loudly over the music I had to lean towards the cashier to give my order. I ordered 2 take out chicken tenders. One with Mac n cheese and slaw, the other with baked beans and cuke salad. It was certainly juicy and tender and lots of crunch! Ordered mild and even tho I like and grow hot peppers, this was a very spicy hot for their mild choice. The crunchy crust flavor reminded me of chili flavored Fritos corn chips. All the sides had a unique flavor not typical to what we are familiar with. The Mac n cheese was Interesting with a mild dry cheese and bits of pimento. The baked beans had a softer subtle flavor rather than the typical sharp BBQ, tomato, or smoke. The sliced bread on bottom was too mushy wet from chicken sitting on top to eat as a piece of bread. All in all. We did enjoy the uniqueness, and at just under 30$ for two without a drink an interesting change of pace. Give it a try for something out of the ordinary!!

My experience at Love Birds in Lakeland was just okay. Unfortunately, my sandwich completely fell apart, making it difficult to eat. I’m not sure if it was due to the size of the chicken, the sauce, or both, but I prefer a sandwich I can actually pick up without it falling apart.

The chicken breast wings were decent but a bit on the salty side and not as juicy as I had hoped.

For sides, I tried the fries, beans, mac and cheese, and corn. The mac and cheese was the standout, while the fries were just average.

The Bird & Bee sandwich had good sauce, and I added bacon, but it was just one soggy piece—not the best addition. Again, the biggest issue was the sandwich falling apart.

There are no kids' meal options or sandwich combos, which was disappointing.

Overall, I wasn’t impressed and likely won’t be returning.

(Edit - this review is for the Winter Haven Location) This place is both amazing and a total letdown. My family can’t stop raving about their sandwiches and tenders—those are a hit! But now I understand why they’re only Almost Famous, and it’s because of their bone-in fried chicken. You’d think any respectable chicken joint would nail the basics, right? Well, this one swings and misses. It takes twice as long to get, costs twice as much, and tastes half as good as Publix chicken. And let’s be real—Publix isn’t even a chicken restaurant! (Also it is sad that they don’t have online or call in orders - This place is very, very load, wait times are to long and just not enjoyable to be inside) Anyone giving this place 5 stars has never been to a 5 star establishment.

Your service as in moving your patrons through the line is ridiculous. I am visiting from new jersey and most will not wait in a line that doesn't move. The one time I was successful in obtaining chicken I realized it was great. However the pace of the staff will ultimately prevent you from growing. People just don't have that kind of patience

The chicken is good. I tried both breaded and grilled. I did feel that the restaurant is a bit dirty. There are both man and women that should be told to put their hair up since they are handling food. Bathrooms are also quite dirty and so are the tables outside. The salad dressing was extremely water down. It is worth to try this place but personally I won't be back.
