Just left. 1/17/2025. Food is excellent but….service tonight was horrible. Never refilled water glasses, my husband got the burrito and asked for some queso to put over it. The girl brought him shredded cheese! Gave us a container for the guacamole and the wrong lid. In between each request we wondered if our waitress was coming back. Finally brought the bill and once again never came back. We finally took the bill to the front to pay.
I love their food but when the service is bad it ruins everything 👎

I made a phone call to Mega Mercado on 1/1/25 for a to-go order. The order that I placed was for a total of 4lbs of their cooked meat nothing more. Server took my name and number and quoted me 20 minutes. I live in the Tampa/Brandon area, so it will take me more than 20 minutes to get there. Got to the restaurant, server told me my order was not ready, okay no worries. Waited 30 minutes, everyone who's order was taken after me got their food even uber orders were completed. Why is mines taking this long, IT'S ONLY MEAT. Come to find out there order was never written down. My food was never made. I waited 30 minutes to find out my 4lbs of just meat was never written down no one could find it. It's literally just meat in a to-go container! When i asked why, no one could answer and no one could get me a manager to talk to. The person the server grab did nothing but just nod his head and left when I explained the situation and that they need compensate for my time waiting and forgetting to put my order in. It's their servers fault for not putting my order in when I called well over and hour ago. As for compensation, I got 2 small container of salsa. How are you going to give me 2 things of salsa as compensation with salsa that already comes as a side with my meat? How does that make sense?
My family and I always go to Mega Mercado to buy pounds of your meat for dinner functions and this was beyond the worst customer service I have ever received from this location.
DO NOT EAT HERE. They charged me $10.00 per beer because I asked for a glass with salt and lemon. I called for the manager and he told me that I should expect that price if I order salt and lemon. Pathetic. Normal price is $6.00

I woke up at 4am fantasizing about the burrito I ordered and woke up my husband and told him we need to go back.
Visiting my inlaws for the holidays, and we popped in for lunch.
A very authentic menu with nice, leisurely service culture. Ordered a small guac and got a great big bowl of the really delicious, fresh stuff. A bit of a wait on my burrito—we worried they hadn’t heard me order it—but when it came, it was worth every moment. GIANT veggie burrito, and my husband’s veggie fajitas had so many good veggies you don’t see often at Americanized restaurants—squash and carrots and potatoes.
Augh, it was all so good, and the prices super reasonable. Definitely intend to come again before we leave Florida. Five well deserved stars.
