Was in desperate need of some tasty fried fish while being in Lakeland, from Tampa and my dad and I came across Mister Fish on Google. It was one of the greatest discoveries ever!!!! As soon as we walked up to the window, our mind was going every which way trying to decide on what to try and Michelle immediately realized we were new here and she led the way. She led us in the direction of exactly what we were looking for, along with teaching us a little bit about the history of the restaurant, overall she was a very lovely person and made us even more hopeful for the food. We loved everything so much- from the fresh lemonade to the Famous Mister Fish sandwich (don’t change a single thing on it, trust Michelle!), to the clam strips, and even the fries- everything was tasty!!! We absolutely will be back, that 50 min-1 hr drive… is totally worth it!!!
Way over priced! 14$ for a large fish sandwich is too much. Especially without sides!

What a joke!!! My fish is burned! Fries SOGGY! And i got a side of baked beans for 5$ and it came in a dip cup ! 3 bites of beans for 5$! Also, they argue with you about the sauce given and they close before the time they display, when i arrived it was 6:10 pm and we left at 6:20 ish and they were already closing

Prices have gone up a bit since the last time I was there but it's always been a bit pricey for a hole in the wall. But you did used to get quite a bit of food for your $$. Now, not so much. For $17 you get sides, which were fine, plus 3 small pieces of fish that are mostly cornmeal. Flavor is bland until you use something additional (hot sauce, tartar, ketchup, etc) and the fillets were pretty dry. The meal was prepped quickly. Staff were business-like with little other than formal politeness but I don't mind people being focused when they're preparing my food so formal but polite is fine by me. I couldn't see inside to comment on cleanliness. Paying was odd however. They flip the screen to you with pre-selected amounts of 20%, 25%, & 'other' for tips. This is basically a kiosk where you stand at window to order, get you your food in a bag, no inside dining or a/c, no drink refills, and throw away your own containers (if you sit at a picnic table to eat). These conditions don't really scream tipping. Mister Fish has changed hands several times since I started going there 25+ years ago but I've never minded. After this time, I'm not really sure I'll go back.
This place is fraudulently charging your card for items that are already included with the meal. Please be aware of their deception. I advise to pay with cash only to protect your card from future unauthorized charges.

Great fish sandwich. Simple setup with limited seating outdoors.
They have one of the best fish sandwiches around.

After hearing such great things about Mr. Fish and being so excited to try it was quite the disappointing let down. I was given the wrong sauce for my clams and my fish sandwich was incorrect. Although the fish tasted great it was cornmeal battered reminiscent of fried catfish and brim and the gritty texture and overly salty taste took away from the flaky cod. The cod pieces also kept falling out of my sandwich and I was only given 1 napkin for my falling& crumbling food. No receipt given on my incorrect order over $20 either.

This is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant first when you call in to place the order and you look at the website online apparently they say that’s not up-to-date. When you get to the store I ask the gentleman over the phone if I can order a Philly cheesesteak Priced $10.99 And can I make it a basket for $2.50 ( As advertised) He says yes, you can, The basket includes fries and coleslaw, I then proceed to ask the gentleman can I swap the coleslaw out for extra fries? He says yes you can but doesn’t mention it’s an additional charge. When I get there, I don’t have time to discuss it so I end up paying almost twice. What the online price advertised. Then proceed to call to speak to a manager, and the girl who answers remembers me and basically says it’s just a real complaint? What’s the big deal about what happened? I gave you the menu why do you need to speak to a manager basically asking all of these questions to get me off the phone places me on hold and then someone who answers is obviously showing no signs of customer service or understanding when it comes to Lying from her employees and disrespect from her employees . Just know if you order online, your price will be double these young GenZ kids don’t seem to care about anything except for themselves horrible horrible restaurant and experience!!!
