Very disappointed in our first visit to Mojo's in Lakeland. The craft cocktails were great at the bar and it is in a cool older federal building with high ceilings. But the dinner was not good. We ordered smoked chicken appetizers and our entrees--my brisket and my hubby's three meat--brisket, pork, and sausage with sides. We got the appetizers which were good, but literally ten seconds later our meals showed up. Neither our server or the food deliverer cared at all about the food timing or the now rushed meal. The brisket was tough and not hot, the sausage greasy and the pork was very fatty. Would not recommend Mojo's. Look for other places to spend your money in downtown Lakeland.

Brisket was disappointing for a BBQ joint and was universally not liked by the table. Not a ton of flavor and not tender like a brisket should be. Turkey and pulled pork was very good though. Shrimp and grits was also a hit with the person who ordered it. Overall enjoyable dinner just some misses, but BBQ is hard to be consistent at.

I was very disappointed this time. Cornbread has been replaced with toast. Service was great, but food was not what it used to be to be.

We’re from out of town visiting family that lives in Florida and we put in reservations. We were running late where we had to call, and the person who answered was really rude and said oh no all reservations were cancelled because we just got 120 people walk in and we closed the restaurant. We didn’t even get a call. We were all really looking forward to the fabulous food we wanted just to be hangry to find some other place again at 5:30 to take 7 people. Very disappointing.

Excellent food. Great service. Came between typical lunch and dinner times so not crowded or noisy at all. Would definitely go again.

You can show up at 5:20 with 15 tables open in the place and you are told the wait in 10-15 minutes… after you wait and say we are leaving to go somewhere else you are told “we were going to seat you in 2 minutes” but nothing changed in the restaurant. The food is good but you would think they would love to have the business with the amount of folks you see there.

We are regulars at Mojo's Kitchen in Jacksonville and decided to try the local Mojo's when visiting friends in Lakeland. We found all of our favorites and enjoyed. The red sangria was the bomb!

This is a great place for some delicious BBQ and bourbon! They have a great selection of bourbon, and other whiskeys, and some excellent choices for BBQ. WE had the burnt ends for an appetizer, which we highly recommend, and I had the two meat platter with turkey and brisket, both were tender and moist. My wife has the Brunswick stew which she was the best she had in a long time and the smoked chicken wings, which were very good.

Met friends for lunch. None of us had dined at this restaurant. First impression was I wanted to just relax in the ambience. Our server was kind and knowledgeable (I forgot her name). She shared the history of the building. The drink menu offered up a refreshing mix of cocktails. Our food came out quickly and was prepared perfectly. The only negative, the salad with all the meat could feed a family of 6!!! Luckily our friend wanted leftovers We will return again

Sasha is the best server! Absolutely spot on with knowledge, humor and checking in with our group. The burnt ends are amazing! Tu

Got around to trying out MOJO. Wife and I visited for a late lunch and left full and happy. The smokiness fills the air as you walk into a gutted brick building. It has an industrial feel but perfect for BBQ. I had the sloppy MOJO. Not very sloppy so I added some extra Smoky Chipotle sauce. It also needed a bit of crunch so I added some red onion and pickles from my wife's BBQ hamburger. It took a good sandwich and elevated it. So FYI ask for pickles to be added. Overall food was smokey and extremely tasty. Onion rings were crispy and full of flavor.

The place has a great vibe inside, smells fantastic and the drinks selection is great. Most of the food was good. Ribs great, sides great. I am a brisket snob though and that was not good. Not a good bark, barely seasoned. Not enough trim work by the butcher. Just pass and get something else and you'll be happy with everything else.

Food is good, especially for bbq in Florida. Is the brisket going to rival somewhere in Texas or Franklins? No. Is it the best you'll find in Florida? Probably.

Have also eaten at the one in Gainsville and the food is consistent and the atmosphere is nice. My complaint is this... if you're going to have your menu on Uber Eats and you're going to offer drinks (soda, tea, etc.) then make sure your system prints it on the tickets and it actually gets made and sent with the driver. Twice now we've ordered, included drinks, only to have to ask for a refund from Uber because the drinks aren't printed on the receipt for the restaurant on the bag along with the rest of the food.
