We have eaten at the restaurant and used take ,over 30 times, with great results. 5 out of 5. But don't order the Peking Duck. We order a Peking Duck for guests on a holiday and we were very disappointed. They should remove it from the menu, because the rest of the menu is good.

Over priced and under quality. The best part of my meal was the egg roll, which was over fried.

Horrible decor was dated placed looked dirty. Wonton soup was tasteless had cabbage in it why??? Egg roll was gross just an over fried tasteless roll filled with soggy cabbage. Fried rice was just gross no flavor no onions, no egg, no nothing just white rice tinted brown. Sweet and sour chicken was just a fried dough with gross chicken dried out and tasteless. I have never had such gross Chinese food in my life!!!!

Everything was good besides the food. The orange chicken and sesame chicken were soggy. The fried rice was just soy sauce with rice and fried egg. There was no flavor. The egg roll was also lackluster, just full of cabbage and also soggy. Food was ready right on time and was eaten within 10 minutes of being home.

I’ve been eating at Peking House since 1991, and the food here is really really good, especially the house fried rice. I’m not sure what the negative reviews are about or where they are coming from, but I assure you that the food here is quality stuff. The Sand on the Snow, Lovers Delight, Sizzling Rice Soup…ALL SO GOOD. My favorite Chinese restaurant by far and I’ve tried so many others as Chinese cuisine is my favorite.

We searched all over Lakeland for a nice Chinese restaurant that didn’t serve food on paper plates with plastic forks. Peking House did have real plates and silverware but the food was a 1960’s interpretation of Chinese food. It was heavy on the gravy and heavy on the salt. I thought this style had gone extinct decades ago! We’ll keep looking for a good Chinese restaurant in this city!

Trying to find great Chinese food is hard now days. As a Chef, I’m hard to please, but Peking had me singing and dancing at the table. Food was fresh and HOT! The flavors were spot on and I finally had some spicy hot mustard. The Chinese beer is only 4.95 a bottle! We were here a month ago and they were $4.50. Tariffs? Who knows. Me and the hubby will be back!
Good food, very authentic
Trust me when I tell you this is the best Chinese food in Polk county . I’m a black women from Miami so if you know then you know we can’t just eat from anywhere , I’ve tried 5 spot before finding this one a year ago it’s the best I’ve tasted down here . I only took 1 star away because they don’t offer delivery which can be a inconvenience but only then that please just go try this place for your self
