Keep in mind as your reading this that this location closes at 12 AM. My boyfriend and I pulled up to the drive through at 11:35 PM and there were 4 cars in front of us. We got to the drive through speaker about 10 minutes later. We sat there waiting and saying hello to the speaker just to continuously be ignored. We pulled up to the window and a worker opened it saying they were no longer taking orders. Mind you this was at 11:50, 10 minutes before they closed. We told them we had been waiting since 11:35 and he told us we can speak to the manger. The manger proceeds to tell us that they are no longer taking orders and that they are short staffed and that’s why we waited in the line so long. They had about 3-4 workers in there. Manger was rude and shut the door on us after we explained it wasn’t our fault and we have been waiting 20 minutes and got ignored at the speaker. Horrible management horrible attitudes.

I love Steak ‘n Shake and go to them all over the country, and I have to say this is one of my favorites, very clean, and very consistent food. By far the nicest in Lakeland too.

I’m gonna start off saying it was only two people working tonight/morning and they was getting the job done some of the best service I had here in a while. I believe those two ladies need a raise if I do say so myself, everything was nice and fresh, even though there was running around my chickens with their heads off y’all ladies keep up the good work

The food was fresh. My sprite was not good. It tasted like it was out of soda syrup. I had to have it replaced. I tried to give it back but they refused to take it leaving me with a cup full of something I wouldn't have given my dog to drink. Very inconvenient for me. The server was very friendly and upbeat. The food was very fresh and delicious! I had the classic double steak burger combo. My fries were great not cold or too salty. My burger could have been cooked slightly longer but still tasted good.

Food was great, only hang up was they forgot to make the shakes. Had to wait on those but not a huge issue since we were dining in. Gabe the kids a extra few minutes to eat theire actual food instead of chugging back the shake. Since covid the inside has felt weird, without servers but I guess everything is just streamlined. Overall we can't complain, food was really good. The new fries are great. Kids ate everything with no issue. This particular one has come along way and we will definitely be back.

Today I had a great experience at this location, everyone was so pleasant, it was clean, and Michele was super attentive to making sure all the customers were happy and had everything they needed!

They got the order wrong and we still paid full price. After asking and confirming what the order was and the price the order was still wrong! It wasn't even busy! Not recommended... unless you want to go in and order so you can physically visualize in front of the employees!

My family stopped to get a few shakes & 3 orders of fries for a snack. It was 2pm. We ordered at 2:04. The shakes came out in a few minutes. At 2:15, still no fries. Our food came at 2:21, nearly 20 minutes later for 3 orders of fries! They said they were short staffed but people who ordered after us, got full meals, with fries before us.

Went there today to eat for lunch. I'm not a fan of those tablets and kind of messed up my order. One of the employees Michelle was so very kind to my friend and myself. Michelle apparently likes her job very much and was very good at it!!
