Advertising conveyor belt sushi, but apparently it's only on select days and select times. Drove an hour and half to find out there is no conveyor belt sushi today, for some reason. Can't get an actual clear answer. Completely disappointed. We've been looking for a place with conveyor belt sushi for a long time now. I guess the hunt continues.

Always loved sumo! Definitely was always a favorite but it has been a about a year since I've been. I tried to get the same thing as always. It was wrong as is they don't have it or changed the name and in that I had to wait outside with my two kids, crying, waiting on order to be fixed and instead of giving the roll they mess up they throw it away and give no discount or anything after speaking with gm!!! Uhm okay!Very disappointed! Sushi lover but will definitely never have my business again. Fancy q all the way

Aside from great sushi at reasonable prices, it's the only place in Lakeland that I know of that has a conveyor running small sushi plates around to all the tables. It's a little small inside, but it's great quality.

Delicious sushi and great service! I love the scallop roll. Yummy!Update May 2023: many things have changed here at Sumo since their renovation, but the quality of the sushi remains. A new, exciting feature is the addition of a conveyor belt that wraps around the sushi bar, allowing you to select rolls as they pass, and pay based on the color of the plate. They have also added an unlimited sushi lunch option for $19.99, which is very impressive and delicious! We will definitely be back many times!

This was a really nice experience. The conveyor belt sushi was fun, and the sushi was really yummy. I recommend the French Kiss Roll. Also, the server was really nice and made sure we got everything we needed. We will be back ?

This is Lakeland's only conveyor belt sushi spot. They recently started serving an all you can eat sushi option three days a week. The day I went it featured all of their signature rolls. I loved this place prior to it adding all the tech because it felt approachable and featured great sushi. The tech makes it unique and it still has great sushi.

Best sushi around! We gladly drive past Brandon and Tampa sushi places to come here. The General and his staff are so friendly and the food is amazing! I love the electronic ordering menu as you can see what you are ordering. Or you can grab a sample from the conveyor belt. This place turned me into a sushi eater. I’ve tried others but they just don’t compare.

Was visiting family from out of town. Aunt and a mutual friend and I wanted sushi. I had the rainbow roll and a California roll. Although they are similar in style and taste. Food was prepared well and tasted great.We also had a chef's choice plate for the table which gives you a sample of different sushi pieces. Including shrimp and 3 types of tuna.Pricing was surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the sushi.Server was friendly and attentive.If you like sushi or fish in general. Give them a try. It's worth it.

We have been coming here for years. This place went down hill after the renovation. We tried to come in tonight and waited for at least 10 min without any greeting. We walked out. Back when general was there he would greet everyone as they walked in the door and you would be seated within a minute. Unfortunately the sushi preparation is also subpar since the owner has no hand in that. Won’t go back anymore. All the best.
