Tsunami Sushi & Hibachi

Excellent customer service great food. Everybody checks on us the waiter, the waitress, and the chef came out to check on us as well. Our kids love the temperature sushi and they got to sit at the bar to watch the fish in the tank! We love it so much!!! Will be back!

We need see to love this place but they are never open. We have went when the hours are open and the are closed again. I wouldn’t bother even parking anymore

Girl, this place is FIRE!!! BEST hibachi in Lakeland no joke. Sometimes hibachi can taste old or watery but this hibachi is banging every. Single. Time. Not to mention the wait staff is great! I’m always in this place!

We have been eating here for years and loved it, under new owner, not so much. We won't be going back. Food was sub par, $13 for 5 oz. of house wine, ridiculous, as was $3.50 up-charge for rice instead of noodles, especially since rice was not good at all.

Comfortable, Unique, Delicious, Great location!
INSIDE: unique decor, Japanese, though American hits playing, cozy, very clean.
SERVICE: I was seated quickly, given gracious service and attention and had a smooth experience. The food comes out quickly and the servers move quickly to keep everything harmonious.
THE FOOD: although a smaller portion than anticipated, i enjoyed the plating and the appetizers. The soup was classic and the salad was fantastic! The dressing is perfect and the vegetables crunchy! The fried rice and noodles were a bit underwhelming, more oil than I’m used to and the vegetables were overcooked. The salmon was tender and melts in the mouth. Skin on. I was very amazed to see vegetables occasionally cut into shapes.

Overall, I’m impressed by details such as the fish bowl bar, soup, salad, shapes in vegetables, location, and service. I would like to see the taste improve on the entree. I understand the portions and price are fair due to location.

it was amazing my daughter and I had dinner here the vegan pho was excellent i ordered the habachi first and it had noodles rice and lots of vegetables which was amazing for the price i got i will be back soon thank you your service team was fast and friendly.

This was my husband’s and my first time dining here, and we were blown away! I started with a Japanese Mule — so refreshing and perfectly balanced. For appetizers, we had the Rainbow Roll and two pieces of Eel sushi, which were amazingly delicious! For dinner, I chose the Shio Ramen — comforting, flavorful, and beautifully presented. MY husband had the Chicken Teriyaki. We ended the night with the Matcha (Green Tea) Tiramisu, which was the perfect sweet finish.

We enjoyed everything so much that we’ve already decided to come back to celebrate my birthday! Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a memorable dining.

Went to dinner this evening with my wife and father. We ordered hibachi, drinks, and appetizers. I told the server on multiple occasions that I can't consume gluten. This is not a preference, but an allergy, as I have celiac disease. My dad and I planned on sharing three sushi rolls in addition to what was already ordered. I placed the sushi order, and reminded the server once again that I am allergic to gluten, and whatever changes would need to be made to the rolls would be fine.

When the sushi arrived, we began eating, and I noticed there was battered and fried fish on one of the sushi rolls, which contains gluten. I asked the server to confirm with the kitchen that this contained gluten, and when he returned, he informed that no accommodations had been made, and that all three sushi rolls contained gluten.

As we awaited the remake, I was informed that because we had already started eating the sushi, I would be charged for the remake, but that they would take off one of the rolls, and offer a discount. I was kind of taken back by this, as we had only wanted to share three rolls, but were now unable to because of their mistake. Also, had I not been the one to point this out, I would have consumed three allergy containing rolls.

My father and I are non-confrontational, so we said it was no problem. I guess the alternative would be to let them throw away the rest of the sushi they made incorrectly we had already started?

Regardless, I was disappointed to see our bill, which was now $136, and contained the original three rolls they made incorrectly, plus the following three rolls they had to remake. Having a food allergy, I would hope for a little more concern from the staff when paying to eat somewhere. And at the very least, not have a restaurant make this mistake, then charge us double for it, just for us to take home raw fish as leftovers. Again, we had simply wanted to just share three rolls. Not order six, and take home left over fish.

I’m only giving it 4 stars because it felt too rushed. The food came out super quick and it was good but before I knew it bill was on the table and we had to go. I would like a little less rush, there were 3 tables total
So not like people were making a line . I appreciate food to be quick just it gave me a rushed feeling.

Wow! Honestly I’m a huge sushi lover and have been to many places but this was definitely the best I’ve been! Highly recommend. Plus the service was amazing from the server Rania 10/10 and the chef coming around to check on our food!! So awesome!

Their dinner hibachi special is a pretty good deal and very filling! Their aquarium bar is a nice gimmick, but I've only ever seen shrimp in there. I've tried their sushi and it was okay. Service was very attentive.

10/10 this place is absolutely phenomenal! It exceeded all expectations. We enjoyed the lunch specials and crab Rangoon’s. Service was quick and spot on. Presentation was beautifully done. Restaurant was quiet and clean. Great music, great staff, great food, great vibes! If in the area I would definitely return! (Forgot to take photos before we started enjoying!)
