attended an event catered by uncle Nick's and they ran out of food before everyone was served. definately do not recommend their catering for large groups. No idea about the quality of the food since I didn't get any.

Went to Nick's today to buy some heros, they closed 20 minutes early and wouldn't acknowledge me at the door....how sad!

I got a 1/2 a dozen bagels to go and clearly my very first time here. As I mentioned to the staff Drove, 40 minutes from one side of Lakeland to Uncle. Nick's because I was looking for a decent beggle place. Unfortunately the girl was not paying attention because I did order 2 everything bagels and 2 Everything cheddar 1 plain, Staff asked me 1 more make it a 1/2 dozen ok 1 more plain. Got back home To my daughter-in-law's home, we're visiting which is a 40 minute, drive away. and I had 3 cheddar bagels Instead of my
[3 cheddar everything.]. 2 eveything bagels. 2 plain, But nowhere to be found my 3 cheddar everything . I also got pastries and on top of that I bought a $24 hat. Please advise your staff to be more mindful . I unfortunately tried calling several times and it kept saying that the mailbox was full.. I will say that the bagles are tasty as well as some of the pastries , but we're annoyed because Noone was happy with the cheddar bagels.

Very disappointed in my personal experience. i’m not traveling across town to walking to establishment when employees have attitude and want to be snippy and snappy with you. Not worth my time or money.

Very Enjoyable Experience! I’ve eaten at Uncle Nick’s three times and all have been positive. The food was definitely fresh and very tasty. I always get the Italian sandwich $10), but I’ll try something new next time. The bread holds up to the amount of ingredients and ample dressing. That said if thick, chewy, hearty bread isn’t for you, they have softer options. No chips, drink or side comes with the sandwich, but all those can be added. There are fries, chips, potato salad, pasta salad, macaroni salad and more to choose from. There’s usually a line, but it moves pretty quickly in my opinion. I love to walk around and look at all the Italian grocery items while my food is being prepared. I usually get the cinnamon crumb cake ($2.50) or cream cheese bombolini ($4). The outside of the bombolini tastes like the freshest, softest yeastiest donut and the inside is running over with cream cheese filling. There is something added to the cream cheese, perhaps rum? It’s not lemon, vanilla or almond extract. They have other flavors of bombolini’s and numerous other yummy bakery items. Cookies, biscotti, cheesecake slices, muffins…lots to choose from. I do wish the prices were listed in front of each bakery item, that would be helpful. Uncle Nick’s has a cute outside seating area, no seating inside. Which is why my rating is 4 stars. I hope they can expand one day and have some seating inside. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant/Italian store to anyone wanting a unique dining experience.

Pretty Good Deli. Sandwiches are large and ingredients do taste fresh. I had a chicken Parm it was pretty Ok. I will say though that the sauce on the chicken Parm sandwich didn't taste like marinara. It was a little off more of an acidic taste maybe a little burned taste to the sauce more so than the slight sweetness of marinara. The quality of the chicken cutlets was good, delicious, not tough or overcooked the cheese was a perfect ratio. The only issue was the sauce. Being born and raised NY Italian, I've had my fair share of Deli and Bodega food..I'd definitely give them another try maybe it was an off day with the sauce..but other than that the service was great, friendly customer service, nice portions, plenty of parking nice little outdoor area to sit and enjoy. They have a little market area inside with pastries overall a nice deli.

These are not New York bagels they are not even as good as the Einstein publix bagels. The food they make fresh is either too salty or not tasty. The items they ship in from other areas like New York are excellent. It's a confusing area as you don't know where to order and nobody really helps you.
Edit update to answer your question. I was born in Brooklyn in the late sixties. I moved to Queens for 12 years then lived in Long Island for 35 more.

Food is ok, but people smoke in the eating area now. Not family friendly if someone is blowing second hand smoke on you.

Edit: The signs were taken down three months ago, obviously causing all the smoking lately, and now magically are back up.
There are many other breakfast/lunch places in town to choose from, thanks =]

Uncle Nick's Deli was a nice spot to try out! The staff was super friendly, and the portion sizes were great. It was a bit crowded on a Saturday morning, so just a heads-up if you’re planning to go then. There’s only outdoor seating, which is fine on a nice day, but might not work for everyone. Overall, a good experience, just not quite the ‘wow’ I was expecting after all the hype.

You did it again! Picked up Fettuccine Alfredo (THE best sauce!), salad and 2 dozen bagels. Everything was made fresh and ready when I arrived. I also ordered the Mikey D for myself for lunch - brought me back to NY. THANK YOU!!
