Tried to eat here! We sat down and waited 15 minutes and no service. The waitress apparently thought it was more important to wash the dishes than take a order. We didn't even get drinks. She literally said I will be right with you and then proceeded to stack and wash dishes right in front of us without even taking a drink order. There were only 2 other tables with customers. 3 employees total. What a joke.

What can I say? It's waffle house, great for hangover breakfast or some food on a road trip. IMO it should be called hashbrown house because I can't leave without my smothered covered and diced hasbrowns.

Nobody greeted my brother. He was so upset because he took his daughter here and was completely ignored for 10-15 minutes. I hate bad business. Take your money elsewhere. It's no point to spend at an establishment when they treat you like a nuisance. They are supposed to be professional. You work too hard to be treated less than. Picking and choosing who you want to serve.

The server was to busy talking to the other server about relationship problems. And put my order in wrong . I love waffle house and the food but the service was 👎
Ah, Waffle House. 24/7 Southern bastion of breakfast foods, where Saturday night's rowdy post-clubbing crowd clears out less than twelve hours before Sunday's church folk arrive.
Having lived in Florida for a while, I became very familiar with a number of Waffle Houses (Waffle Homes? Or is it like Attorneys General and the plural is Waffles House?), and usually grew to loathe them for how generally unkempt they tended to be. But this location in Lakeland has been spotless every single time. On top of that, the service is fantastic and friendly. The food is your standard Waffle House fare, so it's fine -- waffles, breakfast sandwiches, something they call a Philly cheesesteak (I live in Philly and would like to respectfully disagree). Overall the food is good, but I'd recommend throwing a vegetable or two into your diet if you're a regular here.
If you're visiting Lakeland, or just passing through and need a bite to eat, you could do a lot worse than this particular Waffle House.
