The Philly Special

I didn’t know happiness came in sandwich form until I tried The Philly Special—with mushrooms, of course. The steak is juicy, the mushrooms are perfectly cooked, and the whole thing is a glorious mess of flavor I’d happily ruin a shirt for. Hands down the best cheesesteak in Land O’ Lakes—maybe even Florida. If you’re not eating here, what are you even doing with your life?

My husband and I visited The Philly Special yesterday. WOW!! They didn’t disappoint. Joy (the owner) was super nice, attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of. The Philly sandwich had to be the best we’ve had since we moved from NY -been here 24 yrs! This is now our new fav place!!

Fantastic and authentic phillys!l hands down the best in FL and on par with any place up north. Friendly and accommodating staff. Clean and really really nice decor.

I tried this for the first time tonight. I love all the different options for customizing your order. I got The Philly Special and customized it to my liking. They don't skimp on the meat like some places do. It was delicious! I'm glad to have found a cheesesteak place in the area.

First time trying this place and my husband and I are sold!!! Not only is this food amazing, but the prices and portions are wonderful and Joy is just a Joy!!! We will definitely be back and look forward to trying everything on the menu!

2nd time I can to this place. First time was when it first opened.
Today, 11/6/24.
Customer service. Marginal. The lady acted like she di not want to be there.
Atmosphere. Music way too loud. Suggestion. Turn it down and put sports on the TVs. The place has the ambiance of a hip-hop bar.
Food. I had the mushroom cheese steak ($13.99) It was tasteless. Not sure how they pulled that off. My first visit the food was great. Not this time. This place has gone south.

Was mine and my Fiance's first time eating here and there food was absolutely delicious and my fiance is from Philly so he knows good philly foods. I had gotten The Cheesesteak egg rolls and The Philly Special and both were good. Needless to say I have leftovers for tomorrow. Will definitely go back.

I can't say enough about this blink-and-you'll-miss-it local treasure. I thought the mushroom and provolone cheese steak was unbeatable until I had the signature Philly Special. The cheese whiz just makes it so decadent. I challenge even the most voracious eaters to conquer these portions, too! Filled me up and had plenty for leftovers.

I've been to Philadelphia, and I've had the best they could muster. Philly's best must have migrated to Land O Lakes!

Loved the food! Tasted very good. Welcoming vibe by the staff. Only issue and as a kid Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox fan, was not a Philadelphia sports fan decor. Place was very clean. A four out of five.

Best Philly Cheese steaks outside
of Philadelphia, actually best Philly anywhere.
