A delightful little Greek bistro gem in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The service is a little slow out of the gate but the food is terrific and definitely worth the wait. Our favorites are the seafood (Branzino and fish special) and the Lamb Shank with Orzo and feta cheese. The Greek Salad is top notch, too. The complimentary pita is oven fired with fresh hummus or a yogurt-inspired seafood dip. They have a unique selection of Eastern European beers, too, which is a refreshing alternative to the usual list. I has the Czech Pilsner and the rest of the table went with the Greek Chardonnay which was pretty good! As locals, we've dined here before and will definitely return.

This little Greek bistro in LBTS is a gem. The food is terrific and the hustle bustle is just right. Be patient because service can be a bit slow, but always friendly. The owner took our order and made us feel like we were in her home. The food is worth the wait. Warm, wood-fired complimentary pita with hummus was delicious and our meals (Greek Salad, Black grouper [special] and lamb shank w/orzo) were delightful. They have a great wine and beer selection, especially Eastern European beers. We enjoyed the Czech Pilsner and the Greek Chardonnay and will be back again.

Wow! There are special moments and special people in life. During this experience we had both. Denitza, Gino, Rachel and the team made us feel like family. The food...well...incredible. The presentation, the flavor, the love it was prepared with. World class. An unassuming place with nothing but great reward.

Staff was working very hard and super friendly. But...they were extremely understaffed. 1.5hrs from being seated to food arriving. My dad's order arrived 10 mins after the others. Cold French fries. Food was pretty good overall but the restaurant was not able to serve close to the number of tables it seated.

We've been going to Uptown Keese's since they opened. A bit overdue for a review. This is one of those locals places that flies under the radar. Its primarily Greek but the menu is subject to change, there can be specials and there's a burger to die for. The cooking is seriously good, the wine list is one of the better lists in town, white linen tablecloths which we happen to like, superb home made deserts and a bill that won't break the bank.Recommended whether you like Greek or not. This is cooking you simply do not get at most of the local places.

Keeses, a charming family-owned Greek restaurant tucked away in the heart of Lauderdale by the sea. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful culinary experience. The restaurant exudes a moderncharm, with traditional Greek decor and a welcoming ambiance that instantly makes you feel like part of the family. Keeses is a true gem, run by a family that is not only passionate about their heritage but also dedicated to providing authentic quality taste. The menu is a testament to the family's commitment to quality and tradition. From the moussaka to the succulent souvlaki, every bite is a delicious journey. The use of fresh ingredients adds an extra layer of authenticity to the dining experience. The staff, which includes multiple members of the family, goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel at home. The portions are generous, and the flavors are well-balanced, leaving you satisfied and longing for the next visit. As a dessert enthusiast, I couldn't resist trying their baklava, and it was nothing short of perfection. Layers of flaky phyllo pastry, chopped nuts, and sweet honey syrup combined to create a heavenly treat that capped off the meal beautifully. Definitely recommend visiting and saying hello to the owner Denise if you get to as she's usually in the kitchen putting her heart and soul into your meal. -- eating dinner at Uptown Keese's Greek Cuisine.

Came for an early dinner and was blown away by the service and the food. Super fresh. Authentic flavors! In addition to the hummus and a Horiatiki salad, we ordered the uptown roll and two pieces of fried chicken (on recommendation of several people at the Ace Hardware (another great find) Nextdoor . Blown away by the fried chicken! Super moist. Took awhile but it was prepared fresh and totally Worth the wait. The service staff was attentive without being overbearing and full of great recommendations. We will definitely be back. Great vibe in Lauderdale by the Sea.
