We went to two upscale Italian restaurants while visiting the area. La Cucina won hands down. Everything was excellent, fresh, and the pasta is HOMEMADE! Also had a chance to meet the owner and his wife and they seem like wonderful people. The owner is the chef and cooks how his Italian parents taught him! If you’re looking for a taste of Italy in the Fort Lauderdale area go to La Cucina! You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic find while searching for Italian food during our stay in Lauderdale by the Sea.Walked in on a busy night, but the owners welcomed us in and sat us down. The food is quite good and it feels like you're at home with family.I ordered the Margherita Pizza and loved all of the flavors. The crust was fresh and crispy with a light salty hint, the tomato sauce was very fresh, and the cheese was a treat. Wow, in my opinion the best pizza in the Lauderdale by the Sea area.My partner ordered the Ravioli with Ricotta Cheese and a Pomodoro sauce. He loved the dish enjoying the sauce that they served.Great find for us and highly recommend giving this place a try.

This very quaint restaurant is small but the food is mighty! Amazing fresh beautiful Italian food. The pastas are handmade. The sauces are both visually beautiful as well as flavorful. This place is run by a husband and wife only. Personal attention and well run. Clean and nicely decorated.Fast attentive service. The meatballs were perfection. The basil was fresh on top of both these and the soup of the day..a light colorful and elegant butternut squash soup with no dairy. The purse pillow pasta with ricotta and pear filling were in the best butter and sage sauce ever. All pastas were perfectly Al dente. The halibut dish was a special for the day and the fish was light and perfectly prepared served with broccoli rabe and roasted potatoes. This is a special place. Worth the visit.

One of my favorite spots in Lauderdale by the Sea! Food is on point each time. So authentic! Just close your eyes and you are in Italy ?? I buy a couple Panettone's every year from them around the holiday season. They are heaven! A must stop each visit!

This was the best food, not just Italian, we have had in years! And the most gracious service! It was an evening we will not forget! In January 2023, we came to Lauderdale by the Sea for a warm getaway; we live in Alaska. Several people here recommended La Cucina, so we walked over from our hotel, only to find the restaurant packed, with more people waiting outside. We vowed to make reservations the next time we visited Lauderdale by the Sea. We are back, and last night, we made reservations. Claudia could not have been kinder. She showed us to our table and helped us choose our meal -- I tend to get tied in knots with a menu that contains so many glorious options, from fresh homemade pasta to amazing specials that make your mouth water! Claudia also helped us choose the right bottle of wine. Thank you! At the end of the meal, we thanked Claudia and her husband for a fantastic evening, from food to service to wine. She said the loveliest thing, "We may come in as strangers, but we leave as friends." We highly recommend this restaurant! It is small and inviting. For families and friends. For date night. For business. For any time! We are already planning our next visit next week!
everytime I come to Florida I need to stop by my favorite restaurant. The atmosphere and classic Italian dishes are so comforting. Super clean and family owned business. We took cavateli with rapini and sausage. Pasta made the day off. And the veal Marsala melted in my mouth, as usual. If you’re looking for authentic and good quality food this is the place.
