I have been coming here since they opened a hundred years ago. I had to meet my brother who lives in N.E. Ft Lauderdale and he suggested we go there for lunch.

An amazing operation where they have 5 people behind the counter in a production line making the food.

I like the Italian sub which comes in a Small 8" or Large 12" on White or Wheat Bread. Ham, Genoa Salami, and Cappicola, choice of cheese plus all the fixings.

Just walked right before they were going to close... guy was so rude, I love this place but will never walk in there again

I used to live down in Lauderdale and went here weekly. It was my favorite by a long shot. I don't know if it is nostalgia that has me thinking it was better than it was or the quality has really dropped off, but we were very disappointed in the sandwiches.

We walked in these two gentlemen greeted us well and as we where ordering this other employee got up and told my mother rudely in a disrespectful manner to take her hands off the glass we where so upset we almost left. I understand we can’t touch the glass but there was better was he could’ve approached the situation.But the food was amazing and those 2 African Americans employees have amazing attitudes.

This is my first time visiting Laspadas in Lauderdale by the Sea and it didn't disappoint. We split the large The Monster sandwich, so good. Everything was so fresh and the service was amazing. A must try!

The first LaSpada's Hoagies opened in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in 1973. The sub shop was opened by John LaSpada Jr. whose family was in the sandwich business. His grandfather was famous for having opened his first hoagie shop in Atlantic City in the 1930's. In 1978, LaSpada sold the business to Harry and Gale Kappes ,who along with their son Phil, now operate 5 locations in Broward and one in Boca. The Lauderdale-by-the- Sea LaSpada's was moved from it's cramped store south of Commercial to this roomier location in 2013.

I have so many fond memories of eating at LaSpadas through the years. They are the best subs around and they will customize it perfectly to your taste. LaSapada's is unique in that they throw the meat down the line, partly for theatrics and partly to move it faster. It was a practice started in the 1970's by a frustrated sandwich maker attempting to move the meat faster down the line. I never get tired of seeing the meat fly through the air and landing squarely on the bread. Another thing that makes LaSpadas special is the meat blanket, a second layer of meat that covers all of the toppings. If you are trying to cut the carbs they also offer salad platters.

After having recently ordered the Italian at the Ft. Lauderdale store I was craving The Monster, a ham, turkey, roast beef combo.As soon as they handed me the sub I was in heaven. Their subs are huge, fresh, and loaded with meat and toppings. Make the experience even better by taking it down to the beach. When you are looking for an epic lunch, you can't go wrong with LaSpada's.

I order a veggie large sub.on white provolone( didn't get) cheese, ( about a handful)lettuce, ( 1 slice)tomato, Mayo ( extremely too heavy), honey mustard , pepper cherry, pickles, cherry peppers. And since it was a uber order I couldn't get it replace or refund. The very worst experience I've ever had at a Laspades. I will go or order from this location ever again. .I was trying to see how I can post photos of this very disappointing sandwich
