Octopus Lobby Bar at Plunge

Unfortunately I can only give two stars for the breakfast at the Octopus. At first it took forever for the food to come. A whole time after we ordered, the same waitress who had previously taken the order came to us and wanted to give us the menu cards to order... When we said we had ordered for a long time, she briefly walked away and said only when she came back, unfortunately she had forgotten the order. When the food finally came, two out of four orders were wrong. Nevertheless, we ate now and unfortunately the waffles were completely sticky. I only know this from waffles in plastic packaging from the supermarket. For a restaurant that prides itself on having the "best breakfast in town", I would have expected a lot more!!

The resort was better than expected. Check in was effortless.. Patrick was awesome. Bed & pillows extremely comfortable. Air conditioning ran perfectly. Shower was huge & worked great. Room was a decent size. Coffee shop & breakfast place was absolutely delicious & huge portions. Beach was so beautiful… beach chairs & towels with optional umbrella brought out to the beach for you. They even had several games in the lobby! We will definitely be back. Also, so many things within walking distance, bars & restaurants or shops.

Plunge is such a great beachfront hotel! It has everything you need for a relaxing getaway, with tons of restaurants within a short walk. The staff are super helpful, shoutout to Patrick for going above and beyond to make our stay perfect!

Bean and Barnacle is awesome. Dedra took great care of me. It is such a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Great deals on a decent wine pour too!! Also sandwiches, pastries, lots of coffee drink options. Fabulous local art decorate the walls.

The room excellent, clean and comfortable. Michele Leyden was extremely helpful and personable. Recommending to anyone convenient to everything beach, pool, stores, shopping. Area great for walking and bike riding.

Friendly staff, wonderfully located on beach with CVS, Publix’s and First Watch restaurant 2 minute walk. 15 minute walk on a quiet sidewalk is a large group of restaurants and a pier, but there is a little shuttle that will drive you if you don’t want to walk. The hotel has a coffee shop with yummy croissants and muffins and such (went there 3 times). We did not eat at the hotel for lunch or dinner but there is food available. The hotel hallways are getting an upgrade with paint and carpeting soon which is needed. We stayed ocean front and enjoyed our trip! The proximity to the beach is SO CLOSE. Room was clean. Beach very well maintained. Delano, our beach attendant, set us up a cabana and was very attentive and professional. We would definitely go back!

Bianca was a great waitress to greet us every morning and start our day!! Sweet, efficient accommodating and friendly. Enjoyed our stay very much will be back soon!!! Patrick was wonderful … had a little hiccup and he took care of it with professionalism, courtesy and efficiency.. made our stay very comfortable. He has great customer service and is another very pleasant face to be greeted with every morning!!! Looking forward to coming back!

Great coffee and atmosphere. Plenty of comfortable places to sit by yourself or with friends. Dedra my barista was very friendly and heldul. I would definitely reccomend this spot for a quick cofee.

The Plunge never disappoints. From the moment you enter the lobby to check in to the moment you check out, the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. We were upgraded to a beach side room and the room was ready when we arrived. It had a beautiful view! I have never waited to check in at The Plunge. The rooms are always ready, clean and stocked. The restaurants, Back Flip and Octopus were excellent - great service, food and drinks. The guys at the beach stand go above and beyond to set up the chairs and umbrellas. Check out the coffee shop, Bean and Barnacle in the lobby, the coffee and service are great! To top it off, there was an outdoor market on Saturday with local vendors, volleyball games and yoga at The Plunge. It was another relaxing and fun trip to Lauderdale by the Sea and The Plunge!

Excellent place with a small menu. However everything they make is super good. The customer service is excellent except for Amanda. I was at the Starbucks checking what they offer and Amanda came talking all kinds of trash about customers who are supposedly "entitled because they want special treatment" among other nasty comments. I still gave the place 4 stars because everyone else goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Cynthia is amazing as well as Bianca . Both took our orders including 3 kids and were amazing.

Great location. Staff is amazing and lovely. They have three buildings and two are on the beach. Close to restaurants. They have bikes, chairs, and umbrellas to use included in the resort fee. There is plenty of parking space. Clean and neat property.

The Plunge was absolutely phenomenal! Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was amazing, especially Delano. Delano was so friendly, courteous and fun to talk to. O was there with my two sisters. After our first afternoon there he made sure to put three chairs together for us and we appreciated his thoughtfulness. We will definitely be back!
