The Village Grille & Pump

We went to the Village Grille to have dinner. The food was excellent. The wait staff (Joanna) was fantastic. She got us to try a Peanut butter cake. In my mind it should not have worked, but it did! The cake was a layer of chocolate cake, a layer of peanut butter. I think it was 3 layers. The final layer was chocolate cake, peanut butter & chocolate frosting. It was deadly as in deadly delicious!!! Thank you Joanna for the recommendation & the excellent service.

The wait staff is rude and act like you are disturbing them. The Server got upset that we moved from a table that the AC ducting was dripping on our table. Sadly this place was referred to us but I'd would rather gone anyplace but this one.

Love the breakfast here, the sour dough is so good. I will always recommend Yasmin as a waiter she’s so kind and always attentive when me and my kids go .

I block back from the beach, sits right on the corner. Clean. Waitress was frosty to begin with but warmed up a little. Food was OK.

You can tell there is new management because the food and the service were very good, which were not my previous experience there. Much, much improved! Also, the volume of the background music was just perfect for conversation, which is a plus in a location (Lauderdale-by-the-Sea)where most places are flexing their sound systems to prove they can out-volume their neighbors. Very pleasant.

Came here for breakfast 2 days in a row while on our trip and each visit was great. Leslie was the highlight of our visits! Food was great, fast and hot! Service was fantastic. Leslie, if you see this, your 2 girls from St. Louis say hi!

I ordered a cheeseburger. I almost got the sushi or fish and chips. I couldn’t even imagine what that would’ve been like. One bite and it was in the garbage the whole thing french fries cheeseburger everything. I can’t even begin to tell you how rancid that taste was. I went and rinse my mouth with so much mouthwash brushed my teeth, and then I had about two drinkable yogurts, not because of the taste, but because the probiotics I got nervous. The bartender that takes the order for takeout she was Great. This was my first time here I Ordered takeout. There was something that told me this was gonna be a disappointment. I don’t know what it was, but I just felt very bad about it. The second I walked in. After reading a few reviews, and there was some other ones about the smell and taste of some things as well. I know exactly what you are talking about. How hard is it to make a cheeseburger? Better yet just an edible cheeseburger? That’s scary. I feel bad with this review, but that’s how bad it was. I am hoping that somebody that has the capability at this establishment fixes this problem. Maybe they have bad meat. Maybe it was from the distributor I don’t know, but I’m hoping that this review fixes it. I don’t want to hurt anybody’s business. I’m hoping this encourages them to fix the problem.

I am a tourist and my family and I stopped into this inviting place. I got the salmon and quinoa! It was delicious! Jojo was so awesome!!!!!! The food was great!

Was extremely disappointed. when I broke open my fish to eat it, a odor took my breath away. I stopped for a moment, looked around and thought to myself. What in the world was that never did. I think it could be my food the piece of fish that I broke open had a terrible odor up close of bleach yes bleach I was there with my son and my wife. They looked at me and was wondering what happened I had both of them smell it and they couldn’t believe it either the other piece of fish did not have this odor when you broke it open only one of the two not only was I so surprised, but so disappointed in such a beautiful restaurant to fail their customers. I asked my waiter to come over. I told him what happened and he said that they are cleaning the kitchen. It is late and he does apologize. I thought to myself that’s no excuse, but I didn’t say anything because I don’t believe it was his fault. The manager came over got my plate, smelt it, and says he doesn’t smell anything at that point. I was very upset because everyone else smells it but the manager so with this being said please please be careful going to this place. I paid my bill. I tipped my waiter. I left with no hard feelings. But left a little wiser to be more careful.
