This place is never open

This place intrigued me since it looked like one of the forgotten, almost hole-in-the-wall type places I used to find when I traveled abroad. I came out of my way to get there and found that they didn't open until 11:00am, so I made a point to put it in my schedule to try again during the appropriate hours. So I returned another day well after 11:00 and found that they were still closed. I thought that they were probably closed for good. Confused, I called the number on the door and a guy answered saying "yea..." in a tone that seemed to indicate that I was inconveniencing him. I asked if the store was supposed to be open and he explained that it was. His excuse was that, simply, they were getting supplies that day. As I said, I made a special trip to get out their (I have to ride a bike), but I have learned my lesson and I doubt very seriously that I will try that again.
