My wife and I were up in the area and searched for breakfast restaurants. We chose Spoons and were glad we did. It was a Sunday so it was very busy at the restaurant, which is to be expected on a weekend. Melvin was our server and he was fantastic. He really treated us well. My favorite item was the biscuits and gravy.

The food and service here is top notch! Melvin was our server and he was so patient and very nice. He made us laugh and smile we felt like old friends. I highly recommend the fish and shrimp it was AWESOME!My girlfriend had the chicken and waffles which she loved. We all had something different and everyone was very pleased. The food was seasoned to perfection. This place is a must to visit and ask for Melvin?

Found this place when I googled soul food and good breakfast. Read the reviews and could see from the menu that I would like it. Had the salmon cakes , grits, toast and eggs.

The food was amazing the waitress was terrible she was not attentive never came and checked on us the experience was terrible she needs some customer service training
