Loved their oxtail and their rice and peas were good. Also their brown stew chicken was just how we like it. Yard food! We went through the drive-through as the area had some sketchy people hanging outside.

Wish I could give 0 star (this place doesn't deserve a star) By far the worse service ever. I went through the drive thru with my bf and asked for a medium plate (brown stew chicken and curry goat). The guy in the drive thru rang us up for a "mini plate". We get to the window and notice the total was less than what we normally pay so I asked to repeat our order and he got very defensive and told us we are messing with his "intelligence". lmao Food was not good. Very disappointing that we had to deal with the guy in the window for at least 5 mins before he grabbed the manager so she can fix our order. After we spoke with the manager, he stood behind her and starred us down like a hawk looking for a fish in the water... All this could have been avoided if he would have just explained their sizes. ("mini, small or large") The manager never apologized for her employee speaking the way he did to us and just collected the difference from what we owed. After being in drive thru now for at least 10 mins she tells us to go around the building she will bring our food out. Like for real????!!!! Why weren't they fixing it while we sat at the window? We definitely will NOT be supporting a business who speaks to their customers the way he did.. Avoid!!!!

The food is good for a franchise. However those drinks taste spoiled or something purchased 3 times different flavors all terrible and there supposed to be home made but it has all this things in the label that you can not pronounce. Just drink water or soda instead. The ladies are always nice tho.

I purchased a small curry goat and after getting half way through it I discovered a fly I am beyond disgusted and upset that something like this could even happen, although the manager gave me a full refund I won't be returning to another Dutch pot ever.

I've been hearing about this location for quite some time and while visiting family nearby I was fortunate to have made my first visit. Several vehicles were lined up for the drive thru. Upon entering there were about half dozen customers patiently waiting to place their orders at the counter. The staff which appeared to have been busy already quickly became busier with the overwhelming arrival of more drive thru and walk-in orders. Once my family began to place and wait for their orders, the staff's demeanor quickly changed. From friendly to slightly upset. The negativity wasn't appreciated but fortunately on my families part they were empathetic and understanding for the staffs current work environment. Hopefully the staff can work on their customer service skills to treat customers better when they get overwhelmed on a hot, busy Sunday during lunch hours. On a more positive note, the portions of food were great. The freshness and taste was what a homemade Jamaican meal tastes like. The food was simply delicious. Look forward to eating from this establishment again on a return trip to the area.

Their food oxtail or stew peas is always good. Maybe the next time I'll order something different. I have tried other restaurants but nothing compares. Being an islander myself, I feel at home when I get my dinner from them. Love it!
If you don't enjoy Caribbean food... let's not even imagine that such people exist lol. But as for me and my house, we shall dig into the blessings from the islands in every bite possible. When I'm home in South Florida, I want all of the flavor of the Caribbean that I grew up with, even being a Yankee. Lucky for me, there are dozens, hundreds of options await us all in Broward county. With my family gathering together, my Aunt who lives in Austin and misses Jamaican food requested (strongly requested, maybe it was a sweet demand lol) Dutch Pot for Sunday dinner. I've enjoyed Dutch Pot dozens of times over my years but haven't had it in years since I'm blessed enough to enjoy authentic food from the pots of my island Aunties and friends, and because I have a mother that can cook everything perfectly. But this was a good option for our day! Located in Lauderdale Lakes and minutes from the Manors, you really can't miss it if you're looking. When the rain began to pour down on our afternoon, we switched up or plans of ordering in person (to ensure accuracy because if you know, they know), and opted to order via a delivery app to stay dry. After gathering an order for 8 people, it was such a buzz kill when it seemed that they turned off the ability to order for delivery/pickup mid-order lol. But, assuming it was because of the monsoon that was happening outside and/or that they were just super busy, as it was a Sunday afternoon. So instead, we opted it for pickup. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially if you are in time for the lunch specials. Bless my sweet sister for going to pick it up. She stated that it was busy inside and in the drive-thru, business is booming! It took her about 45min or so I believe, and then she was back with bags of goodness. Each plate was hot & fresh, packed with rice and goodness. We had: 3 orders of barbecue chicken, 1 oxtail, 3 brown stew chickens and 1 jerk chicken (which was mine). Almost each order was just as we requested, down to the extra jerk sauce. Only error was double steamed veggies being on the wrong plate (the rices were different, but the entree the same) - easy fix for us. We love to see it! The portions were plentiful beyond the oxtail, but y'all know Oxtail is like, a grand per pound lol so I feel that! How quiet that room was showed me how much we all enjoyed our meals lol. I think the only hiccup was that a few of us didn't love the slaw, let's bring back cabbage on each plate pls and ditch the slaw lol. All in all, a great meal per usual!

Food was good. It is a fast food restaurant. You order different meats (ox tail, j*** Chicken, fried fish, curry goat etc). It comes with white or rice with beans, cole slaw or cooked cabbage. You can order small or large dish. They have some good rum cakes too.

I will never go back to this location! I can appreciate the $6 lunch special, but today it was awful. I asked for extra gravy and didn't get it. The chicken tasted like fish and the thigh was smaller than a wing. I can't make this stuff up.

Food is rarely an issue here however everyone here has 2 speeds mentally and physically - dead slow & stop. I've walked out of this place twice with no food in hand due to this. Ordering via uber eats is also pointless as some options like Friend chicken aren't listed but other items specific to the day are ALWAYS available on the app which then leads to these slowpokes not cancelling the orders.

Great tasting food with no bells and whistles service. They're here to get you in and out. I always go for the oxtail and it's always good quality meat. Thick juicy big pieces of oxtail loaded with very rich flavorful sauce. There's carrots and dough balls in the entee too. I like that they weigh the food before they ask you if you'd like extra sauce or gravy so it's not factored into the weight for pricing.
