On our last day of vacation we were looking for seafood boils and we stumbled upon hook and reel, it blew our expectations out of the water. From the freshness of the seafood to the quality of the Chinese food, it was absolutely excellent. If you’re visiting in the area and looking for a good dinner , please come here.

I have to order ahead of time because it’s a far drive to the restaurant, when I finally arrive, my order is not in the system even though I spoke to the same representative twice and stated my name. Of course they try blaming the customer first assuming I ordered from the wrong restaurant but that wasn’t the case. Thankfully this has only happened one time, but extremely inconvenient considering it is a long drive. Also, 95% of the time that I come to pick up food, I have to wait a minimum of 10 minutes for any worker to acknowledge me. I shouldn’t have to chase down the workers when they leave the front desk unattended for long periods of time. Extremely frustrating and inconvenient when I just want to pay (which isn’t cheap btw) for my food and leave, and now I have to wait another 30-45 minutes for the food to be ready and drive another hour to get home and eat it’s not even worth it at this point. ??

I was told My cousin and I had to pay before we eat due to their new policy of “being underage.”I’ve been to hooks and reel 3 months prior and never heard of such a thing from any restaurant EVER. why do i have to pay before being serviced? then when i asked for a manager the waiter stated “he is not here” then when i would not take that as an answer she said she will go ask manager and went to the back and came back and said “he said yes”… i thought the manager was not here. they were giving me a run around… i seen the nervousness in both their eyes as they know what they just did was wrong. my cousin and i decided we did not feel comfortable eating there and decided to leave. she then kept trying to grab me and offer a discount because of what she did. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. will never recommend anyone there again. lost a customer!

My little Sichuan hidden gem. I love coming to this place after work cause their open til 2 am. Food is good we tried both the crab boil and the sichuan last time around but I would definitely stick to the Sichuan Cusine. We've had OX Tongue App, Mouth Watering Chicken, Pig Intestine and Hot Peppers all dishes had good flavors. S&P shrimp was okay but the shrimp quality wasn't great. They had a special duck dish that we tried as well but the piece were chopped pretty small making it hard to eat. We'll be back to try more dishes next time.

Vegetarian options: Plenty of Sichuan Vegetarian Dishes

This place has good chinese food. It came up under a different name on Google so I was a bit confused when I walked in. The kung pao chicken was good but tasted like it was cooked in the same pan as seafood. I tried oysters as well, and they were decent. It seems to be chinese and family hotpot style place, but has a seafood name.
