I had high hopes for my meal but unfortunately, it fell very short of expectations. I ordered rice & peas with oxtails and a side of cabbage. While the cabbage was exceptional 10/10 the oxtails were ruined by an overwhelming amount of ginger. I literally had huge chunks of ginger in my food. The dish could have been fantastic if wasn’t for this overpowering ginger flavor. I drove 20 minutes to try their food, it wasn’t worth the drive :( With some adjustments to the seasoning, particularly the ginger, this place has the potential.

Amazing ox tails! Definitely feels like a home cooked meal not just a fast food restaurant. You get to meet Jean who is a wonderful women and you feel the love she has for what she does. Can't get much better than that!

Worst food on the planet!!! Went there on my lunch break hoping to find something to eat. Food was burned, I was not able to eat anything from the plate ? straight to the garbage. ?salty, uncooked, food has a strong odor? no taste just terrible ?? I ignored the comments and went there to support the business? terrible food terrible food. Service is slow too ? not good at all.They need to hire a good cookDietary restrictions: Food is too salty even the vegetables are salty

Honey! My apologies if this review comes off as "exaggerated" but I promise you this is MY God honest truth. I've had so many carribean restaurants that were good BUT Ms. Jean's restaurant was my favorite. My husband and I have lived in North Florida, Seattle, Texas and have had many Jamaican dishes. We were just visiting (Sept. 2022) and my husband is a foodie, he went looking for the best in the area. I can say after visiting this restaurant, I have NOT ate any Jamaican food. Simply because I know it will not compare. This was THE BEST Jamaican food I have ever had in my life AND I mean that, truly. Thank you Ms. Jean for your sweetness and thank you for preparing a delicious meal that I can't seem to forget. Can't wait to visit Broward county again!

Jean's Caribbean Restaurant has the best food. I order my favorite food, then take it home; sometimes I eat there if I'm ravenous. Most of the time I order her J*** Chicken, which is truly so fabulous, but I always ask for the spicy sauce on the side if I want it to taste more spicy. It comes with dirty rice, cabbage salad, plantains. Since I lived in the Islands for 3 months, i fell in Love with Island food. But after eating everything, my favorite is still "**** Chicken", and if you want the BEST, ORDER FROM JEAN'S CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT!!You might want to take your Fabulous Meal Home, since the dining area is small; but as I said before if you're ravenous Enjoy it there, and you won't be sorry. If you want a small portion get the lunch size; but since it's so delicious I always get the Dinner portion so it lasts a day or more for me to Enjoy!Try it, you will fail in Love with Jean's Caribbean Food. I've been ordering from Jean's Caribbean Restaurant for years and felt it was time that I stopped touting it ALL to myself. So, please Enjoy! This was a waste of time and money i wish i could get back. The owner is definitely not a honest business man. He has one price posted but it was literally 14$ for lunch. He claimed he thought he heard me say medium. Then the food was not good the rice wasn’t cooked fully it was still hard in some parts. The presentation was horrible. It was just thrown into the box pretty much. The plantain was hidden under all the food. The j*** pork was 90% big bones in my plate. I really was so mortified when i opened the box but when i tasted the food i was near tears. HORRIBLE REVIEW WISH I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS. They thought it was so funny tricking me with the price. I hope my review saves another person. The good reviews must be family

If I could give this restaurant 0 starts I would. I felt like supporting a small business today and went in for an oxtail plate. The first suspect thing that occurred is she served my food in the back not in front of me and didn’t even show it to me before she closed it up she brought it back to the front in Saran wrap. I opened my food and let her know that the food didn’t have taste it was very nasty and it tasted burnt literally like the bottom of the pot. I asked her if it was okay to get a refund she said no so I asked her to at least change the meal for me to something different since the oxtails are burnt. She stated that she can only give me a piece of j*** chicken. I declined the offer and informed her that I would leave this review spent $20 on a plate of food I couldn’t even eat smh not even the rice salad or plaintains were good

I really can’t believe that I ordered food from this restaurant after I seen the portion I got. 80% rice, 10 percent steam vegetables and 6 Percent gravy. 4 percent meat and bone. Lol this is really a big disrespect for what you’ll pay.
