Oh my word! That was AWESOME BBQ. My family of 4 just stopped by this great little family run establishment on our way back from a beach trip. We have lived in 4 different locations in VA & NC for the last 12 years and this is at the top of great BBQ. The restaurant is cute inside and out. The family running the restaurant were very attentive and sweet as can be. The restaurant and front bench area was clean and comfortable. When we looked at the menu we were initially saddened to see they were out of a few items but once we received our food we realized we missed out on nothing. My husband got a pulled pork plate with the best fresh fried okra we have ever had. The potato salad was so delicious. We also ordered the BBQ burrito, the wagon wheel quesadilla and the tin can burger. The burger looked like those incredible burger photos you see in advertisements. Everything was delicious and the portions were HUGE! We finished with a banana pudding we shared that had lots of yummy bananas and wafers inside. We are excited we still have plenty of leftovers to enjoy today. This restaurant is a MUST STOP. We left very happy and very full.

Delicious turkey sandwich, fried okra, and coleslaw! The coleslaw was not too sweet or too tangy! My husband said the pulled pork sandwich was delicious, as well! Great small town restaurant with friendly staff!

I realized after attempting to eat a $ 11.00 brisket sandwich to go, that the name of this place should be called ( Drive on By! )Because I wish I did. The brisket was a 2 handed sandwich! Because it took 2 hands to hold to the bun to eat the tough meat inside the roll! Unfortunately I had driven down the road before eating the sandwich. Never again! If you can't cook brisket please close down and go back to chef school! What a. $11.00 disappointed!New I should have stopped in Callahan for good BBQ! My fault! I'm just trying to be honest! They did have a clean restroom, that's where the 2 stars came from.

We stopped by on our way home from vacation. This place was just what we needed. Good food and a nice outdoor eating area for our young boys. A sudden storm popped up while we were eating outside and the staff were kind and helpful to get our plates and drinks inside out of the rain. They were also nice enough to bring out coloring books and offer to put some kids shows on the TV for our children. When it comes to the food, it was also exceptional. I big hefty brisket sandwich was just what I wanted and it really hit the spot. Great food and great service make this place a winner. I’ll be eating there again for sure.

We found this restaurant along our drive leaving Florida, based on the Google reviews, and it definitely lives up to them! I would highly recommend stopping for delicious food and kind service. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There are small plate and large platter options available. Also, take the garlic toast option on sandwiches, it was awesome!!

Doesn't look like much from 301, but when you pull up, it's so cute outside, with strung lights. I've lived in NC for 11 years, had bbq all over the South and Texas, and this is the real deal. Pulled pork is smoked perfectly, and the 4 homemade sauces are so good, you won't know which one to choose. Luckily, the portion size is generous, so you can try them all. Don't skip the garlic bread or banana pudding. We'll be back next time to try the ribs.

Best bbq my husband and I have had in a long time!We came for lunch and the whole experience was amazing. You could smell the smoker going as soon when you got out of the car. Everything was so clean and bright (outside AND inside) with beautiful flowers and fresh greenery. There are nice umbrellas at the tables. The outdoor patio area was beautiful and inviting. We were greater as soon as we came in the door and despite there being a line at the counter we didn't have to wait more than a few minutes to be seated and served.For a moment, we thought the place looked so nice that it was impossible for the food to be that good.... but we were DEFINITELY WRONG. We had fried mushrooms as an appetizer - they were perfect. Great breading, perfectly browned breading, and they didn't arrive mushy. I was also surprised to find that they easily catered to my dietary needs. I had the burger salad (forgot the title of the menu but it was one of the low carb salads). My husband had the bbq chicken plate that came with beans, macaroni, and garlic toast. The beans were AMAZING; Sonny's and Bonos better step up their game because they definitely have something here.Usually this is the point where even the best restaurants fail; you ordered, you have your food, now they forget about you at the table... but NOT HERE. We were checked on OFTEN. Our cups never ran empty.Best food. Best service. Amazing. ? ?

I stopped here for a quick bite on my journey from Ohio to Florida. Hit it up for lunch. Got a pulled pork sandwich and fries. Hands down, the best pork sandwich I've ever had. Delicious flavor. Tender. So good. They were so generous on their portion too! Highly recommend this place!

This place is sooo much better than Sonny’s!! 100% oak-wood smoked. Pulled pork with fried okra. It doesn’t get better than this. Worth a quick side trip!!

I wish i could give half a star, one isn't even enough. when I arrived at slice an dice I told Mrs. Casey I wanted to place an order for a cheeseburger. I then watched her write down a Childs cheeseburger, I then told her no I didn't want a child cheeseburger. she then yelled to the back "cancel the Childs cheeseburger, she doesn't want it. She wants the one that takes longer." Very bad attitude from the owner herself.
