Great lunch spot. Good. But not overwhelming selection. Some great sides to choose from. All homemade. I had cranberry jello salad and my friend had the potato salad with chicken and tuna sandwiches. Next time im just going to order the sides.....maybe they should add a veggie/side plate.

Traveling through and was looking for a place for lunch. Found this place by chance and I am glad we did. The atmosphere was simple. The food was fantastic. We had the Chicken Salad Platter and it was one of the best I have ever had. This is a find!

I love going to Ellen‘s café on third! I get the most delicious meals there. I can tell that her ingredients are impeccably fresh.. I have had several of her menu items, however, my favorite is her chicken salad plate. Today I substituted the pasta salad for her potato salad. Ellen makes her potato salad from scratch. It is phenomenal as well as her chicken salad is phenomenal! Ellen is a great hostess. I have brought several of my friends to eat with me at Ellen’s café. I’ve also had special parties there for my women’s Bible study group. Ellen always does a fantastic job, taking care of us!

We ate there today and it was wonderful! Everyone we spoke to was friendly and they wanted our input on the food and how to make it better, which says a lot even for a smaller cafe that they care what their patrons think. I love that you can get sandwiches on the croissant. The potato salad was probably my most favorite out of everything I tried but all the food was good, fresh and to order. I had the hot ham and cheese on a croissant and it was nicely balanced and not overpowering of one item or another. We also tried the banana pudding which tasted like bananas (some places make it taste like vanilla pudding with bananas added in). The cranberry congealed salad was also good. It is a jello fruit salad and was refreshing. Definitely will be back!
