We came in the end of the day right before Thanksgiving. So most of the deserts were already gone. So I can't speak about the donuts or cheesecake that we had hoped for. But Steve made us some sandwiches and entertained my kids with cool colored glasses for the lemonade. And for a finale he served some *amazing* handmade ice cream that was just delicious.

Love this place!!! It’s like walking into my mother's kitchen back in the 50s!!!When you walk in you hear a voice welcoming you. Your eyes follow the voice and see an older man sitting in a wheelchair at a table near the kitchen. You get to pick where you sit. You are then greeted by the young waitress. Then you look at the menu. The prices are very reasonable. The menu includes many items that sound familiar but a bit different than other restaurants. It was mid afternoon. I ordered a Gyro and my husband a Ruben. I got 2 sides, potato salad and Cole slaw. The owner wheeled into the kitchen, stood up and got our orders ready. He personally makes everything himself.I took one bite of his potato salad and I was back in my mother's kitchen. We invited him to join us and we got to know this unusual man with a dry sense of humor. If they aren't too busy you may want to invite him to chat with you too. The food was DELICIOUS. He said he is often asked what's in his food? REALLY? That's all.Give it a try and tell him Lynne suggested you come visit him. Oh, home made ice cream. He also has homemade pie if he hasn't sold out.Lastly, ask him about his room in the back.

We have been here multiple times, yes multiple times. I have given this place chances, as the food use to be decent. Portions are super small, only got a half a piece of toast, economy... I get it. We gave it one more chance after a long trip to the library, and two screaming kids saying they are "starving". After eating, I asked the waitress if she got to keep her tips, she said no, and that she hardly gets paid enough. "All the money goes to God" I think there should be some kind of proof, seems rude of me, I know, but waitress work hard, and the owner/cook is not Mr. Personality. Something does not seem legit, he underpays, and takes the tips. The back of house should be reason enough for the place to be shut down. After a restroom trip, there are opened razors sitting right outside the door on the water heater. Loved my waitress though!!

Great atmosphere, retro dining experience, great owner and the key lime pie ice cream is worth the trip it self. I highly recommend going

the food is cheap, comes out reasonably fast. owner is rude. watched a table walk out because of his treatment of them. i don't care personally, but i do know i can cook better food than i had there. not worth it lol

Owner was extremely rude. Knew I was in the wrong place from the start, when I walked in to him arguing with two older customers. Owner literally said "I hate life". Yeah... "God Cafe" alright. ...Not to mention, food wasn't anything more than "okay" and the service was below average. Don't bother wasting your time coming here. Not a pleasant meal at all. ....Hopefully he has a better response to this than 'not feeling well' or 'understaffed' (there were literally 4 people in the whole building).

The food here is truly HEAVENLY! Cheesecake is delicious, food is prepared fresh and personally by the owner. Very happy.

Came in for breakfast off a recommendation since we are from out of town. The gentleman that was running the place was quick to seat us and get our order going as we had a meeting to attend.Food was well in line with what is expected from a small breakfast shop. Will gladly visit again if in the area.

5 star for recognizing God. 1 star for very weak coffee. 4 star for the waitress that was friendly. 1 star for the one that ridiculed me about setting my to go coffee on a table that, I guess I was not supposed to set anything on even though it is right beside the others and looked ok. At first she said I could not sit there, explained just adding cream to my go cup of coffee. Even the folks at the table beside commented. Worst 5 dollars I spent at bike fest an can't see a reason to recommend or return

Can’t say a lot for the biscuits and gravy. My wife had the quiche it was very good. The coffee was horrible and made with city water and no filter I sent my back as it tested of chlorine.
