Drove all the way to Winter Park for sushi before I found this place. Winter Park/ Orlando overpriced and not nearly as good. This place is a “find”! Also clean and well managed.Parking: Publix shopping center with plenty of parking.

This place is a must try if you’re in the Leesburg area! The food was great, the red snapper hibachi was delightful as well as the calamari (ask for it to be cooked crispy - you won’t be disappointed). Denise our waitress was phenomenal. She was friendly, pleasant, and attentive to the needs of her guest. She even took our picture for their photo wall! Overall we definitely recommend this place and will be back.

The first-time visit was well worth it. The Kawachi restaurant is tucked into the inside corner of the Lake Village shopping center.We arrived for lunch on a Tuesday right at noon, not too many people, maybe only one half dozen. The restaurant is much larger than I expected. I was expecting a hole in the wall due to its location, so a pleasant surprise. The interior has an open ceiling with a colorful glitzy decor, which isn't overdone. The menu's first four pages are devoted to alcohol reflecting their full bar offerings. Their is a small section for Thai food, but it had a sticker "Not Available."Still, there are plenty of choices and a very generous sushi selection. My wife was delighted to see Blue Hawaii as an alcohol choice. So many bars have no clue what a Blue Hawaii is/was, so she was over the top that they had one.Onto the food. My wife ordered a sweet potato roll and the lobster roll. I ordered the green dragon and the chicken hibachi bento lunch box with a Blue Moon to wash it down. Everything was well timed from the soup & salad to our meals. The presentation was excellent and everything delicious. The rolls are top notch.Compared to other local Japanese/Sushi restaurants, Kawachi may be one or two dollars more on some offerings, but there are no disappointments. The restaurant and especially the restrooms are very clean and neat. The service was excellent from start to finish. We'll be back. Enjoy!
First time being here, ordered the chicken udon and the harumaki. The chicken was really dry and hard (probably old) and not alot of noodles. The harumaki was good though. Debating whether to give this place another try :(
