When we came here, the hostess was extremely confused. She finally sat us & we had to wait 10 minutes for a server. We did enjoy the food.

This place is the bomb diggity and it is by far one of the nicest businesses in the area. It's actually a destination spot. Come in to eat, you end up shopping. Come in to shop and you end up eating. They have you covered in all areas. The food is off the charts delicious. The staff is wonderful and the stopping is a unique experience.

Super cute shop with a restaurant. Food was good as was the service. The number one quality of this place is its location. It's a restaurant iasis inside a food desert. I really felt like I was driving out into the hinterlands to go here.

Everything is great except the gravy on the biscuits and gravy. It's like white water. Don't bother but the rest of the food is incredible and the place is

Charming setting with decor items for sale, but couldn't make up for our dining experience. Service was mediocre, servers brought food out to our group of 8 and had to describe the food on the plate to get it to the correct person. Food was also mediocre. Everyone ate their food, but no one was raving. My Benedict dish had very bland Hollandaise sauce and doughy biscuits.Vegetarian options: Several salads & entrees, etc. The only soup wasn't vegetarian. Ovo-lacto vegetarians could eat well here.

UPDATE: BEWARE USING A CC. My credit card was charged twice. When we contacted restaurant by phone they apologized and said they would correct. A month later no credit had been written & phone call went dowhill when worker questioned if we payed someone else's meal and forgot. Follow up call continued with excuses but no credit. Finally disputed charge with CC company who issued credit. Never received a follow-up from restaurant.Food & Service were good. Atmosphere was kind of dark in the area we were seated in. Restrooms were outside beside the building in a portable trailer which was inconvenient & required waiting for entrance in 90+ degree weather, not pleasant and considering food & sundry prices not acceptable. Will not return.

This is a day trip for us from St Petersburg, took over an hour to get here. People were wonderful, very nice and welcoming. The store was so crowded you could barely walk around and the prices were very high! It would be nice if they had some affordable items. Now the restaurant was delightful and delicious. The Brie appetizer, salmon dish ( though over cooked salmon) was fresh and flavorful. My friends enjoyed the shrimp and grits( even with the tails on) short ribs, a lot of food and a pasta shrimp dish, which needed more sauce and flavor I was told. But everyone would give food 4 stars. The wine selection was nice and reasonable.

I loveee The White Oak Cottage! Let me tell you, best Belgian waffle I have ever had! I ordered the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken was good, it is not fried chicken on the bone. It’s a fried chicken breast, still excellent. The staff is so friendly! Love the atmosphere. If I could give any cons to here would be it is not the best when planning for a big party, unless you reserve it special. Food is chefs kiss!

After hearing rave reviews from my sister-in-law for over a year, my expectations were high for our brunch experience at The White Oak Cottage. The ambiance and store were charming, but unfortunately, the food and service left much to be desired. Our waitress, Tayla, was slow to attend to us, forgetting drink orders and struggling to answer menu questions. We had to repeatedly ask other servers for water and had to flag down someone else to correct an order mistake. When my replacement meal finally arrived, everyone else had already finished their food. The food had its highs and lows; the waffles, pancakes, and London broil sandwich were said to be delicious, but the shrimp and grits were greasy and inconvenient to eat with the tails still on. The Cottage Benedict was the biggest disappointment with completely hard-boiled eggs on top. Then on my replacement meal the bacon was undercooked so I didn’t eat that portion of the meal.Additionally, the lack of breakfast options on the kids menu was disappointing, especially given the steep price for basic items like pancakes and waffles. While I may consider giving The White Oak Cottage another chance in the future, I'll likely opt for items from the lunch or dinner menu next time."Kid-friendliness: I wouldn’t call it kid friendly at all for brunch, there are no brunch items on the kids menu.

My wife and I had a reservation at 6. We were seated promptly after we checked in... maybe 5 after. The seating arrangement was a little cramped, but my wife thought it was cute. We got up and left at 625. We had been there, seated, for over twenty minutes and they didn't even take our drink orders. The couple who came in ten minutes after us got waited on. Wow. Just wow.Don't even waste your time. I'm just glad we pulled the plug. If the service is this bad, the food can't be much better. I'll never find out, though. I'll be sure to let everyone know about my experience.

Great little diverse shop and restaurant. If you are looking for an excellent meal and unique shopping experience this is it. The varied items for sale is an amazing collection of varied antique and new items, for a discerning buyer looking for something different.Wheelchair accessibility: Tight but manageable
