Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff.Except for the shrimp and grits (which tasted good but was too watery) everything else was very good.
We had high hopes for this place. The food is mediocre at best. The service is good though. Their crab cakes did not taste good. The hush puppies were burnt. The steak was well done when ordered medium, it was also full of fat! The chicken Caesar wrap was ok but they put the chicken in when it was hot and made the lettuce hot. The shrimp Po boy was not worthy to be called a Po boy. It was basically fried shrimp on a bun. I do not recommend eating here.
Fabulous food, fabulous service! Seating is abundant, atmosphere is incredibly friendly. Our large table ALL walked away at the end of the meal very pleased with their orders. Highly recommend the Gator Tail and Shrimp and Grits in particular!
Very disappointed. The mussels were very fishy...both of our seafood dishes were marginal at best. The sweet potato tots ended up being French fries and the green beans must have frozen as they looked like they were freezer burn. We paid...we tipped well but never will go back.
Great place to grab a bite to eat! Friendly staff, quick service!!!! Food was great, cooked perfectly! Will be back even though it is 45 minutes from our home!!!
Being from out of town I googled restaurants near me, I'm glad I did because this place is not on the main road and we never would have known it was there. The food was great, reasonably priced & the waitstaff was wonderful. We were talking with one of the waitresses like she was an old friend. Super friendly, turned out she was the owner.
exceptional meal. best fried okra ive ever had and ive eaten plenty. catfish light light and hush puppy was a lil sweet. they have sweet tea. 10$ for the basket 2$ for the tea then the racketeers add their cut....
Prices seem a little high until you get you're plate .Their portion were large enough to satisfy even the biggest appetite. Best tasting grouper sandwich I have eat. You gotta try it. Their hamburgers are massive with meat , and complex flavors to make it their own. Worth every penny too. Oh man the home brewed tea is just right to be called Sweet Tea of the south.
Definitely don't let the outside deter you from stopping in. Super nice staff & food was delicious! Fried green tomatoes were very good. Have been thru Live Oak many times & never knew this little gem existed. Hubby & I were looking for some place different to eat along our route & thanks to TripAdvisor & the positive reviews we found this place.
Awesome food starting with the fried green tomatoes. Shrimp and grits were awesome and the hush puppies were the best we ever had. Great service to top it all off. Don’t let the outside appearance deter you

Food was really tasty. I asked for burger medium rare and they delivered exactly that. We also had fish and it was perfectly cooked. Hush puppies were dangerously delicious. And service was fabulous. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!
Cold special sword fish served to my Dad, they warmed it up for 30 seconds and it's still cold and raw. Disappointed to say the least. Don't use the salt and pepper shakers unless you bring a few Clorox wipes to clean the last 2 year's worth of finger food off. Oily puddles for the pasta to swim in. Fresh catch shrimp... Is not.
The catfish basket consisted of a small serving of catfish pieces the size of my small finger and 1 side for $10.99. For that price they could have included fries. I chose Cole slaw which was quite small but good. Even though the ratings are very good, I would skip it if I had a do over. Overpriced!
Good food and a beach atmosphere. Everything tasted good. I wanted to order the seafood platter (you are permitted to order 3 proteins) but it’s only available as fried. It would have been excellent if you could mix and match there. It is definitely worth a stop if you are in Live Oak. There are seafood options, burgers, salads, and wings—-something for everyone.
The stuffed pork loin was awesome.
