I met a friend for lunch. She selected the place. We had the red pepper, gouda soup with a Waldorf chicken salad wrap. I really enjoyed mine. Clean, fresh and delicious.

On a road trip, we exited I10 hoping to find lunch at a diner vs a fast food restaurant. We happened across Down Town Cafe and had the perfect BLT! Crispy bacon, thin sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce - it just hit the spot! Plus the two women working there were as nice as can be. This is more of a sit down sandwich shop than a diner, you won’t find a deep fryer for fries or burgers, and I was even surprised they were able to do BLT’s. But if I were ever passing through again, I’d certainly return.

Stopped in here for an early lunch while attending the Florida Bike Safari. Was not disappointed- great comfort food, good coffee, and friendly staff in a very relaxed atmosphere. Since I arrived right as they opened I had the entire place to myself, but I imagine this place is packed with locals after Sunday church or other more regular hours. An excellent local restaurant! ??
