This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. I am sad that I only ever got to experience service there twice as I'm not from the area. I can not wait to find out where the new location will be.

Typical American Buffet. The pulled pork and fried chicken was delicious. The Mac and cheese had no flavor and most of the food items were dry or seemed old. (Arrived as soon as they opened) Many options at the salad bar and deserts. The waitress was very helpful and came by quite often.

This was our (my family of 4) second time visiting and I have to admit it wasn't as pleasant as we all expected.

The chicken..the meatloaf..the Mac cheese..the bread. Were delicious as they can be. Everything on the dessert bar looked scrumptious..I only ate the banana pudding. And the staff.. top notch. Literally from the time I walked on the door ..a conversation was struck..and when I got ready to leave the manager struck up one...the cook..the waitress...all of them..excellent service. Clean place. So why the heck did I give just 4 stars all of this is true.???!!!! I'm sorry but I literally came for the dressing..Sunday dinner..dressing is my favorite dish and it was not good and that's all I really wanted..and any kind of meat would have sufficed. Its hard to believe that the cook would know how to cook all of that good southern cooking as he does but not know how to make cornbread dressing. I think something went wrong.sooooooo I'm going to give you another chance. I will be back one more time when you serve dressing and I hope it tastes like real cornbread dressing. And if the dressing is good I will become a regular.

Absolutely love this place! The staff is amazing and the food is great! It's true down home food, so don't expect a lot of seasonings...it's good all on its own! Most of all their recipes are passed down from their grandma and momma. We come here every time we're in Mt. Dora, from Jacksonville. So 4 times a year.

great food at a reasonable price. Staff is always amazing and frankly to me, the best Buffet in the Apopka area

Sorry to write that Austin's Buffet only rates three stars. Their personal care and consideration are four stars. They were always around to fill my drinks and everyone was so nice. Their price is low and earns four stars. The problem is that to keep their price down. they had to have food that was below the standard of food that I expect at a buffet. I go to buffets often and many are in Las Vegas and cost much more than Austin's. But the quality of the food often justifies the high price. I ate during lunch and found no beef at the buffet. They did many things with pork and chicken but I miss the beef. They have carved turkey. Except for the ice cream, the desserts were below what I expect in a buffet. I have to give their food two stars. I did not see the variety of food that I expect at a buffet. But I also expect to pay $13.00 or even a bit more for a quality buffet. This buffet has a standard price of $10.00 for food and soft drinks are extra. I know that they would not be able have the volume of business that they want with a $13.00 price, even if they added beef and higher quality foods. I am going to have to choose other kinds of places (not buffets) when I am visiting the Orlando area. I hope that it all works well for you guys at Austin's Buffet. You are a nice restaurant to dine at.

Food was hot and good tasting. Refills were kept up well. Dinner pricing was lower than expected. I especially liked the assortment of different fish and chicken plus the chicken livers. Shrimp were good, too.

If you're looking for cheap, good tasting food, Austin's is your place! It may not be the best food for you, but if you grew up in the midwest or south, you know what comfort food is. That's definitely what this place is. I love that Sundays are dinner all day, there is always seating, and the dessert variety is super good. The theme of this place has to be like Texarkana. Seriously. It's like a mix of Wild Texas and even older Arkansas. I love it!

Great buffet, fresh carved meat at each meal. Check online to see daily offerings. One of the few places to get fresh carved real Turkey breast. Good dressing and gravy to go with it. I get full to easy but worth the price for quality and lots of choices.

Definitely the best buffet around. Homemade food , great selection. I went for a late lunch, around 1:30 expecting a lot of empty pans and food that had been lying around a while BUT I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was hot and tasty. Had a salad, fried chicken, potato salad, a wide selection of veggies, corn, corn bread and such. Dessert selection is huge and the pecan pie was excellent. All for under $13.00.

My wife and I have wanted to stop in, (we pass it all the time) and did that Wednesday 12/18/19 for lunch. We found the food to be average at best, chicken fingers and fried chicken were both dry. The baked chicken was more moist, but it was in a pan with liquid(staying steamed), the fish was mushy and the beef with rice soup would never come close to the required 140* for holding food(also not very tasty). The collard greens were overcooked and the pepper sauce had been refilled with vinegar so often that there was no "kick" to it. My wife tried 3 desserts, took a bite of each and quit(and she loves sweets). There are two many places to get ample food at reasonable prices to return. If you want all you can eat...belly up to the trough!
