MA-SE Sushi Eatery

Very chill environment and clean. Our server was really friendly and attentive. Wasn’t impressed with the food though. For the area it was above average, but in general it was average. Spicy tuna roll wasn’t spicy nor was the spicy mayo.

Update: 12/2/25 -

I don’t understand why they won’t hire more staff. We’ve returned and the food has since improved, however, they are severely understaffed for how busy they are. We placed a to go order, and showed up 5 minutes early to pick it up. The food wasn’t ready until over 30 minutes later after telling us to only wait 10 more minutes. There was only one person working the tables and 1 chef. For a full restaurant, and Togo orders, this is just poor management and honestly lacking common knowledge of food industry staffing. I’ve never experienced a place constantly understaffed like this. It is small, however they remain busy. If you can’t do it alone, don’t. Everyone knows to have people staffed and if you’re slow send them home. Makes you wonder why they’re running things the way they are. It also drives customers away from the store because it makes the customer feel as if they aren’t valued by the restaurant, and it takes FOREVER to get taken care of! Pretty disappointing.

I brought my daughter here who loves sushi. I read the reviews and decided to bring her to try it out. We had green tea which is delicious, the roll , surf and turf roll and the fireball roll. The sushi was presented well and the flavor was on point. I would definitely try this place again.

Great spot! Amazing sushi and fresh appetizers! Had the nachos and they were so delicious!! The dragon roll was great and filling. Definitely coming back!

I’m livid - not due to the quality of food but their pad Thai was nearly flavorless if you like spice I’d order over medium. I am sick on Tamiflu sick and was hoping to pick up soup and pad Thai for my husband and go home. I went to the Walgreens at the corner picked up meds and and had my pick up scheduled to be done at 6;13 - I placed the order at 5:44. I waited shivering from 6:11 at the doorway until 6:42. I am so disappointed with the service, I asked if it was possible for my order to be canceled and they said 10 more
Minutes and walked away. Then came back and said there was a mistake and they had to remake my order, I think in my fog I said a stunned ok. Then waited another 20 minutes. Their service was horrible and truthful will deter me for ever ordering here again.

Not a big place, but food was great and service was outstanding. We were a party of five, had a good mix of sushi, sashimi, Ramen, etc., and everything tasted authentic. Will definitely visit again.

Sushi is really fresh and a joy to eat. I ate at the bar and ordered a Chef's Choice (9 Nigiri), and from the bar, Scallop, YellowTail Belly and Salmon Belly.
Pricey, but I think it's worth it for the quality. My only complaint is that I was still a bit hungry and wish I could've eaten more, but I think of myself as a Constantly Burning furnace so it's a me thing.

this is my absolute favorite place to eat in the area. the owners and staff are incredibly nice and always helpful. the food itself is amazing! for sushi i recommend the dynamite roll. the thai tea is also by far the best in the area. so thankful they are so close to my home :) will continue to come for a long time!
