We visited this restaurant on Saturday evening around 7:30 PM with our family, hoping to enjoy a relaxed weekend dinner together. Since inside seating wasn’t available, we took an outdoor table and placed our order for both the kids and ourselves.
After about 30 minutes, we politely asked if the food might be ready soon and whether the kids’ meals could possibly come out a little faster. We completely understand that weekends can get busy — delays are not the issue. What was disappointing was the way the response was handled. Instead of simply letting us know the expected wait time, we were told they were very busy and even asked if we wanted to cancel. We were not complaining, just checking politely, especially with kids waiting.
Service overall was not great. Water was not refilled, and communication felt abrupt rather than welcoming. Hospitality is not only about food quality — it’s also about how guests are spoken to and treated.
We also noticed a few other guests seemed upset, and some even left. If the restaurant is overwhelmed, it may help to pause new seating until things are under control so expectations are clear.
One more thing to be aware of: an automatic gratuity was added to our bill even though we were only a party of four. Typically, gratuity is added for larger groups (usually six or more). When we asked about it, we were told it’s up to the restaurant and there is no law around it. Just something for future guests to be aware of — please check your bill carefully. I’m attaching a picture for reference. They removed it after I asked.. why I would I want to tip after this bad experience…
We truly hope this feedback is taken constructively. A little kindness, transparency, and better communication can make a big difference in the overall experience.

I am gluten free and vegetarian and the staff was so helpful. If I had a question they promptly answered it and also gave me a dedicated gluten-free menu. I did not ask if there was a cross-contamination risk as I usually don't react to those. But I got the Panang curry with tofu medium spice and a Thai iced tea and both were great. I have plenty for leftovers too!

Thailicious in Longwood is a delightful find for authentic Thai cuisine!
It's a small, warm place with a cozy, inviting setting that makes dining feel intimate and relaxed. The food is consistently excellent, but what truly stands out is the staff. They are incredibly courteous and attentive, making the dining experience feel personal and welcoming from the moment you walk in.
I had read reviews mentioning that it can get crowded, which speaks to its popularity, but I was fortunate enough to find seating available right away. Don't let the thought of crowds deter you—the quality of the food and the excellent service are well worth the trip. Highly recommended for a quiet and delicious meal!

Food quality can vary, overall usually get great food but sometimes they can have a off day but still better than other local Thai restaurants. I personally am not a fan of the darker atmosphere.
