We love this place! We used to visit more frequently when they had the 2 can dine for $49 deal during the week. You pay double now to get the same amount so we can't come as much as we would like. When we are there, the food us delicious and service is always quick and informative. The atmosphere has changed as well over the last couple years. It used to be very romantic, and now there's upbeat pop music playing and brighter lighting. We got stuck next to a family with obnoxious children and the mom describing the birth story over the phone last time and a group of people with backpacks just lounging. It was like a McDonalds instead of this upscale restaurant. Not their fault for who comes in but it used to be people with more sophistication who would dress up and look presentable as we do. Just a warning if it's been a while since you've been and you expect something different. Of course, I am addicted to the food though so we make it at home when we can and will visit for anniversary or birthdays still! All the cheese, ranch dressing, and the sauces for the vegetables and meats are to die for!

We have been dining at the Melting Pot for almost 20 years. We have been coming to the Longwood location for almost 8. Tonight was the worst experience we have ever had at the Melting Pot. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, it was a very poor experience. I am not sure we will be back to this location. Here is the list of what occurred: 1- We waited almost 30 minutes to be seated for our reservation 2- The waiter came over quickly, which was a plus. We put in our entire order at once as we know what we are going to have when we eat at TMP. He wrote everything down & read it back. 3- He brought the wine for the cheese fondue & promptly dumped in about 8 cloves of garlic (normally they ask how much). 3- The drinks we ordered took almost 15 minutes & were wrong. While we were waiting, the wine for the cheese scalded. We had to go back to the bar to get the drink corrected, because the waiter disappeared for another 10 minutes. 4- He remade the base for the cheese & left to grab something, leaving the fork in the pot. 5 - The silverware in one of our sets was dirty & had to ask twice for a replacement. 6- The waiter brought the broth for the main course & then disappeared for almost 15 minutes. Since he was gone so long, half the broth evaporated and he had to bring additional broth. He couldn't open the carafe to pour the broth into the pot. 7- The waiter did not bring the vegetables or extra sauce that we asked for. We had to ask a third time for the sauce. 8- We had told the waiter our dessert choice at the beginning & requested mild chocolate instead of dark. He brought dark & had to be corrected again. 9- He asked if one of us wanted another drink - we told him no thank you & he brought another at the end of the dessert. 10 - You can be sure he processed the bill super quick - that was the one thing that happened quickly. 11 - To top it all off, even the mints we were given were the icing on the cake - one package was completely empty.

We met 11 other family members or a birthday and enjoyed such a fun wonderful time. The service staff we received were AMAZING - Samantha and another had us all night. We could not have ask for better faster and had us all laughing. The food was fantastic although I wished there would of been an offer of no seasoning on a tray. For somebody who can't tolerate a lot of seasonings not the best place. We definitely will go back and enjoy it again.

We are local and eat here about 3-4 times a year and tonight we had the worst service we have ever had and an extremely dirty table; however the food was still wonderful and the only reason I am giving them 2 stars. First, our reservation was about 15 minutes late in being called and seated which was not an issue until the second and third items below came up. Second, we sat down and found half eaten food underneath our table along with dirty napkins. I do understand that no restaurant is going to be perfectly clean but this was obvious that whoever prepped the table, just pushed all of the food off onto the floor from the previous guest and kicked it under the table instead of picking it up. They didn’t even try. Something I would expect at McDonald’s but not at Melting Pot. Third, The service was atrocious! Our waitress came over and took our drink order and took about 20 minutes to come back and she didn’t even have the drinks. During the entire meal, we got used to asking for refills and anything extra that we needed at least 15 minutes in advance to anticipate the length of time it would take her to return. Also, the time between courses was extremely long, we even ordered our chocolate half way through our entrée and we still waited more than 20 minutes after the waitress picked up the fondue pot. 3+ hours to eat, bad service, and a dirty table for $500. Melting Pot, you need to do better! We will be back since we have had so many good experiences and hopefully this was an off night and not the new standard.
Update. Manager was very responsive and reached out immediately to better understand the situation and apologized for the service which I appreciated. I have updated my rating here due to management’s responsiveness and willingness to help and due to the fact we have eaten here 20+ times and this was the first bad service we have received.

Bad experience last night :( waited 30 mins to get seated past our reservation time and another 25 mins for a waiter to come by. Long waits between courses. The wall next to our table had food splattered all over it. They seemed overbooked and under-staffed, so shame on management. Front of house staff seemed to be overworked. Our sever was beyond nice and considerate, the only thing that saved the experience.

This year marks our 16th year celebrating Christmas Eve dinner at the Melting Pot Longwood. We’ve always had an exceptional dining experience here, and that’s why we keep coming back. The staff is fantastic, and we’re always greeted with a warm welcome. This time, our server, Yesenia, was particularly sweet and attentive. Thank you once again for making this a cherished tradition for us.
When you step into the melting pot, time seems to melt away as well as time. This is why we come here. The food is always great and as you unwind you forget about time and that you are actually cooking your own meal. I find the food is plenty and the taste I'd great. My wife and I had a fantastic experience at The Melting Pot in Longwood. We started with the alpine cheese fondue and added chorizo sausage, which was absolutely delicious. The house salads were great, and the main course was a wonderful variety of steak, chicken, duck, shrimp, and lobster, everything was perfect.
We finished with the milk chocolate fondue, which was the perfect ending to the meal. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the atmosphere was awesome, relaxed, cozy, and ideal for a special night out.
