I had an incredibly disturbing experience at this ice cream shop that could have ended in a medical emergency. If you or someone you love has a peanut allergy, stay far away from this place.
While I was ordering, I noticed that the staff were using the same spoons and containers for multiple toppings without any care for cross-contamination. Crushed peanuts were spilling into other toppings like sprinkles and cookie crumbles, and no one was cleaning it up or even acknowledging the issue. I specifically asked if the toppings were kept separate for allergy safety, and the employee shrugged and said, āWe try our best, but everything kind of mixes anyway.ā Excuse me?!
That kind of careless attitude toward food safety is unacceptableāand potentially life-threatening. I think her name is diana she was the most disrespectful person to ever roam this planet very unprofessional customer service. If it wasnāt for her I think Iād actually give this place a chance but as long as sheās working there this will forever be the worst ice cream shop to ever be open. Peanut allergies are serious, and thereās absolutely no excuse for this level of negligence in a place that serves children and families.
Needless to say, I left without ordering. I didnāt feel safe, and honestly, I donāt think anyone with a food allergy would. This place needs a serious wake-up call before someone ends up in the ER.

I stopped by Twistee Treat and had a great experience! The employee working, Xitlalic, was super friendly and helpful. I ordered a swirl cone, and it was delicious

Was sitting outside with my daughter when we noticed there was a friendly cat coming up to customers sitting outside. I told my daughter it was okay if she wanted to pet the cat because I was with her and watching. The general manager then came outside and yelled at my 6 year old for trying to pet the cat and made my daughter cry. I was with my daughter the whole time and wouldnt have let anything happen. I did not appreciate the manager speaking to my daughter that way when she did nothing wrong. Then proceeded to have an employee pick up the cat and lock it in the menās restroom. I will not be coming back, it is completely unacceptable for a grown woman to talk to a child the way she did. The employee told me she was the general manager of the shop.

At the Twistee Treats menu, I noticed that they had a strawberry and vanilla swirl which is my favorite soft serve combination and very hard to find, so of course I had to order it. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement, I was completely devastated. I expected to bite into a sweet treat that I had first and last eaten on a cruise ship, but instead I bit into a flavorful less swirl of cream. It did not taste like strawberry. It did not taste like vanilla. It tasted like ice cream with no flavor. The only thing that had flavor was the waffle cone and the gummy bears. To say the least, I really hope that future customers will read my review before getting disappointed like I was.
